Easy to install - easy to use - not very expensive

It would have been nice to have the Microsoft Home and Student already loaded on the computer. Instead it needed to be purchased separately and loaded after we unpacked the computer. It is easy to use and works well for my kids' homework. They were able to transition from their school computer to the new computer using this software. Make sure you buy the right product before you leave the store. Originally, we purchased the wrong software and didn't realize it wouldn't work on our computer until after we got home. We didn't open the package so it was easy to exchange it for the right one.

I plan to use the same software for years on the same laptop so it was cheaper to buy the software outright than to pay a yearly subscription fee for the Microsoft 365. I just need the basic programing for general/personal use so it has been great

This software is basically what I expected from an update of Office. It's functional and I don't have any major complaints; there are always a few pros and cons to each new version, but there was nothing difficult to learn in this one and I have had no difficulty going back and forth between it and older versions.

Good for home use and for budgeting. Nice product.

Very happy with performance of the program. I had previously used the 2005 version on window XP. The is better organized and in a more user friendly format.

Microsoft Office is about the only game in town. So many people use it, that if you used a different word processor, you could not communicate with then unless you manipulated the file extension.

Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 has been great. Word is the same as the 2010 version (from what I can see). I have noticed slight differences in PowerPoint such as Themes and pictures included in Clip Art.

Since we're all bound to the inevitable "upgrades", and since I keep receiving files that only work with Office 2007 or later, I felt it was time to upgrade....but I didn't want the online subscription-thing, and I certainly didn't need the entire Office suite. Since I primarily work with Word and Excel for business and personal uses, choosing the "Office Home & Student 2013" upgrade seemed to be my best option. It DOES take some getting used to. Most of all the classic buttons and things to click on are all in their common places, it's just that those common places are a bit more fancy than they were before. Still, I'm pleased that I upgraded, it's just going to take some time to get used to everything.

Dependable Excel and Word. Come on Microsoft, include Outlook. Would not have purchased except needed for Windows 8.

I cannot imagine not having Office on my computer. It is all around the best program out there with the different components (Word, Excel...). I like the upgrades Microsoft did with the programs as well.

Installation was problem free. If you need Microsoft Office, this is an easy way to get it. Note: I clicked that I would not recommend to a friend. That does not mean that I would recommend that the friend NOT get this product. I don't make recommendations to friends to avoid being told about every hiccup.

This product is essential. It is needed for school or in the legal field or any office. It is needed and should not be charged extra for. You need this program to create a resume so it should come standard instead of having to pay additional.

Looks like there will be a learning curve with the new Word and Excel formats. Best thing is that my old files carried over. I am running the Microsoft 8.1 on a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series. Didn't have much chose but to upgrade the software.
