If it ain't broke...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Office 2013 is a very functional program but MS keeps "improving" Word and the other programs which means you have to re-learn where all the commands are. If they are going to dumb it down so people can click on the pretty icons, they should make it so power users can revert to the prior command bars and keep the format we are used to and proficient with. But this is the most widely used office suite program and it's not like MS is going to change. Still, like my Daddy used to say, "Son, if it ain't broke don't 'fix' it."

It's Office....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Basic yet works well. My girlfriend recently started college again and needed Office installed on her laptop for her essays etc. It's just what she needs. Why spend half the money on Office 365 (which you will have to buy again each year) when you can get this with all the essentials.

Quick Install.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You need excel and word, so you need this software package,. It's a shame you need to spend the money for it - but it is a necessary expense.

Good Group of Basic Office Applications
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There isn't much to say about this standard Microsoft application bundle. I have been using Word, Excel and Power Point exclusively for the last 15 years. I have seen many improvements, plus a few good but too many poor changes. I consider a change "poor" when it's a common operation that has been moved from its familiar place and it takes me longer to find it and use it. I hate to waste time on these newer applications just because there is no included documentation to highlight these changes. Anyway, this version of MC Office pretty much looks and operates like the last issued version. This version is compatible with saving files to the cloud. When I purchased this upgrade I assumed this version would be needed for Windows 8 compatibility...well I now don't believe that's the case. My new laptop has a touch screen and the menus and icons in these applications can be activated either by mouse clicks as well as by screen touch and does not have anything to do with Windows 8. I have used these applications for a month now and I don't have any new complaints that I can subscribe to this version. This price (approx. $100) was fair enough and the software works just like the previous version. This software purchased came with no disc and only has a scratch-off code on a card that's inside an envelope that is the size of a disc. You must save this card with the code because it must be implemented online with Microsoft. Caution, if you scratch the black surface hiding the code too hard you'll destroy some of the characters. Some of mine were barely visible. Take your time scratching!

A necessary evil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very satisfied with the product itself, functions exactly as it should. On the other hand, I'm very disappointed in Microsoft's sales and marketing strategy for this product.

webroot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The webroot program is good, and doesn't take up much space, however its not google friendly. In IE 8 you can see the taskbar and such, when you use Chrome, you wont' see it, however I'm told the program is still functioning.

it's Windows - always a known quantity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.had to get new desktop for work office (old one was XP with quickbooks 2009) thus the new Office Suite (and updated quickbooks); receiving an iMac as a Christmas gift then meant purchase of Office:mac for home office...both products are smooth operators, would expect nothing less.

not using this much right now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.not using this much right now, but wanted this on my computer. this is no longer a feature that is given free with your laptop. now you pay for everything separately.

Good Product, Difficult to Install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good Product. However the installation took several days and phone calls to tech support. Initially MS didn't recognize the product key, once I got that issued resolved the installation product kept giving error codes and wouldn't install. This installation problem has been well documented on the internet. Several days later the product finally installed correctly. MS should really consider using cd-roms again.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I dislike that the price is almost 150 dollars just for use on one computer. I bought Microsoft office 2010, for three computers for that price. The programs themselves work great.

Awesome features not found in earlier versions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am glad I finally upgraded from Office 2010. I didn't think there was a need to do so. But I am finding that my productivity has gone up with this version of Office. It does have a small learning curve if you are used to the earlier versions but it is well worth it! The interface is much more user friendly than the 2010 version, and there are some great added functions in the design areas, copy, paste, formatting options.

Office Home & Student 2013 offers more than I use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I need Word and Excel and this is what was available. I have not had the opportunity to explore other options that are included in this Office 2013 package. I had the 1997-2003 version of Word and found that to be much easier for me to use. However, I'm getting the hang of Word 2013 and am starting to enjoy some of the new features. I haven't worked with Excel 2013 other than transferring files from my previous computer. I will need to setup some spreadsheets very soon and am hoping I can do it with ease.

Easy to install for the average person
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft Office is a great product. I really liked that it was easy to install and had lots of great apps to use with it. The price wasn't too high but still was a little high.

Fits my Office software needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Office 2013 as a Home and Student version fits my needs perfectly. I had been using the Office 2003 professional package when using a previous XP based system, but I no longer needed the professional version and Microsoft stopped supporting any XP based applications

A pleasant surprise from Microsoft
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using an old version of office for years and thought it might be time for a new one with the new All in One touch screen with Windows 8 I just got. The Office software has a better look and feel and more capabilities than the old one. Definitely worth the change.

It is Word, what more can one say
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is Word. Therefore it is pricey, but necessary. We find that Word is the easiest and most compatible to use. This is the Student-teacher version that my son uses for college.

It's a pain
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new Windows is a pain. Had to go with it because my old computer died. Haven't had the time to try and find the redeeming qualities. Maybe I'll just get used to it.

Powerful Tool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason I give this a 4 star rating is because of my own lack of knowledge with this software. My young adult children have used the Office software for years at school/college. They find it comical that I struggle with the program. I know it's a great and useful tool. It's very powerful and it will take some time to learn all that it can do. You really should have a good quality office program with any computer. If you want to do things right, buy it. Still learning and happy with my purchase.
