There are several options for purchasing the MS Office software. What you buy depends on your situation. If you have one computer and don't need the latest and greatest versions of the program then this is likely the least expensive way to go. If you have more than one computer you want to install on then there may be less expensive options for you. This version is for Home or Student use and is a one time install on one computer of the latest MS Office software. It includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. It does include program fixes as needed but not full upgrades. You can buy this for $150 or less. There are usually discounts when you buy MS Office at the same time you purchase a new computer. Buy from a reputable dealer.

I wasn't going to purchase this but after the customer service representative explained that this comes with updates, etc over the subscription period of I year, I felt this was the best option to insure we have the most updated information for Home Office & Student so my children are able to use for schoolwork & homework.

Because I bought Home Office and Student when I purchased a laptop, I got a lifetime user agreement at a reduced price. I've used Microsoft Office as an educator for years. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are a must!

The Office product is good. Some of the new features are not as smooth to handle as in former versions. The only horrible part of this purchase was the GEEK Squad appointment. I went to the store. NOBODY ELSE WAS ON LINE IR THERE TO BE HELPED. The agent told me (at 10:28 a.m.) that I would have to make an appointment to hand him the laptop I had in hand and gave to him, who was looking at my account online already. The next one available was 11:15 a.m. since his computer showed there were 5 appointments ahead of me! Now, there was STILL NO ONE THERE ! I vociferously made this VERY CLEAR. Another agent came from the back room, talked to me for about 2 minutes and just took the laptop and signed it in immediately. STILL, NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE!! Similarky, when it was loaded in about two hours later that day, I had to make an appointment. I showed at my appointment time and, at my time, the same rude agent took two people ahead of me while I stood there. Again, the same saving agent came from the back room, recognized me, and handed me my loaded laptop. In a minute I was technically finished but the saving agent took about 15 minutes to show ne some things and how to get into WINDOWS, enough to get the basics done right there. This appointmdnt ststem is horrible; some agents are rude and wirk by the book; some agents understand customers, service and empathy ..

It's office - we all know what it does and doesn't. It installed very smoothly and easily. Very please with the set up and functionality. Cheaper in the long run to just get office 2016 than buy office 365 every year.

I'm glad that I was able to purchase this program one time rather than have to renew a subscription. When I heard that Office was moving to that system it really irritated me. It's nice for someone who doesn't need to have all the newest updates. I only needed the program for the basics, which made a one time purchase the best option for me.

I love the new version! I use office frequently and was satisfyingly surprised with the updated program. I needed to get it after buying a new computer and I loved the new features it offers, and it makes finishing whatever project you're working on exponentially easier.
