Given a choice between yearly rental and just buying outright, I believe it to be more economical to purchase outright.

So far what I have done with Word has not been a problem - the last version I used before this one was 2007. Have not used any other products in this package yet; but will when I need them.

It is user friendly. The expense of the software should allow for it to be utilized by multiple devices within one residence & not one product key per PC.
