We bought this to download to our Dell laptop and we preferred this over having to buy the new version every year since we needed it for basic documents. It was also easy to install!

I think it's a little bit expensive for my kids when they use only Words and PowerPoint. I hope in the future they would have PowerPoint and Words bundle together in a more affordable price.

This was purchased to replace MS Office 2007. When MS stopped supporting my old programs I couldn't even open my files, so I had to purchase something very quickly. This new version opens all off my old files so I'm satisfied.

Purchased this software for a new laptop. Easy to install, just follow the on screen prompts. I'm old school and I don't like the cloud so this software was great for my needs.

I only have 1 computer, cost is low compared to 1 year rentals (this will be in use for many years). I have free gmail and yahoo accounts so Outlook is not a priority for me.

A must have if in the computing world. Microsoft creates dependable products

Office Home and Student 2016 is performing well and so far I'm happy with it.

It came with my surface pro, it's been helpful not a necessity for me though

If you are purchasing the computer you need to purchase Office.

I needed Microsoft word for my new computer and didn't want to pay a yearly fee. Product download was easy with code purchased. Not happy that I can't share with my husband (unless we work at different times) for the price. Not much choice!

I was happy with Office Home & Student 2016 software. I really only needed Word and Excel so it was plenty for me. Downloading the software was relatively simple.

Works very well.... had to pay more money up front for the stand-alone edition, but prefer that to paying yearly subscription. This edition will work well for many years before having to upgrade.

Colleges are giving this program out for free now (6 month subscriptions), but I wanted my own copy. I figure it will get be through my college years just fine. Happy with the purchase.

This has all the essentials for me going to college. Microsoft is amazing because my college takes no other formats and the different actual Microsoft application work perfectly with each other.

Needed excel & word, better than free versions on web since it was on sale.

I purchased this instead of signing up for the yearly renewal. I don't care if I have the latest and greatest office/word program so I feel I saved a lot of money buying this.

As alway, went with the MS Office H&S 2016 on the new Dell, Gives me everything we need to do our day to day computer task! Just one up front cost, no annual renewal fee!!

I bought this version as opposed to the 365 because I am not a fan of having to pay for it every year when not much it different. It may be $30 to $50 more expensive but definitely worth it.

What can you really say about Microsoft Office. If you have to use Windows then it is probably the safest way to go. Most folks don't need nor can they master all of the features of Word and Excel. First time users will have a learning curve that might be shortened by tutorial such as Office for Dummies.
