I indicated I was going to go with the laptop to Curacao, which is an island in the Caribbean so I asked if it would work when I go back to install. They told me "yes, it's just going to MS website and you will be prompted to enter product-key" This was NOT the case. The product-key was blocked during installation process because we are in another region than the USA. For 3 long hours via the online-support my brother was trying to get issue solved and in the end the support-member indicated we have to pay 40US$ to unblock. UNACCEPTABLE !!!!! I would like to receive a refund on this item.

For reference, whatever country you purchase Microsoft software in, you must install and activate the software within that same country. So since you purchased Office in the U.S. you will need to install and activate Office within the U.S. After your software is installed and activated, then you'll be able to use your Office software anywhere in the world.
If you're able to, we suggest trying to install and activate Office in the U.S. If this isn't an option for you, we highly suggest you reach out to our Customer Support Team and let them know what you're dealing with. Office deleted the old photo editing program from this edition, something I used a lot in my older version of Office. Seems to be more complicated than it needs to be. Cannot get it to load updates when it alerts me they are available.
