Microsoft....Still My Go to Office Suite!!!

However, to my surprise, I experienced the hardest time in the install process. I was eager to replace this updated version for an older version of Office that I had for many years. I have an office account, which accessed but, when I went to install the newer version, it wouldn’t load for some odd reason, I kept getting an error message. It may very well be that the computer that I desire to put the software on which is Windows based may have some compatibility issues or just old age (the computer is a staple with sentimental value). Nonetheless, I can easily say without reservation from experience, Microsoft Office has served me well. I have used most of their versions which I know span 25 years of solid usage. As an educator, their programs have been invaluable to me from usage of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Outlook, the whole entire suite. I know this version only has Word, PowerPoint, Excel and One Note. I purchased the Office 13 suite of this version and it continues to serve me well. I am looking forward to what the newest features are that Microsoft has updated. I am sure, once I get the kinks out of ‘Old Bessie’ I will be good to go based on how well these programs have previously served me. I have tried several other office suites, but none can compare to Microsoft in ease of usage, user-friendliness, navigation, longevity, to name a few. For these stated reasons is why this program gets 5 stars from me!!!

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft Office has been the seemingly most ubiquitous piece of computer software for as long as I can remember, and it feels just as relevant today as it did the first time I found it in my start menu. As a long-time user, I have been happy with each iteration as time went on, and this release is no exception. This version sticks to the core Office stalwarts, offering Word, Excel and Powerpoint, which will be what many will be looking for, but make sure this fits your use case. Microsoft does offer a more robust suite via their Office 365 subscription, with a similar quality experience, but again, check your use case. As for the programs themselves, they just really are the standard. While there are other options out there, none of them compare to the polished feel, breadth of features and simply, the overall quality Office brings to the table. This 2019 version gives all those programs a nice refresh and install and use is just as easy (that is very easy) as you would expect. Lastly, it is nice to know that all those old documents I have saved over the years can still be accessed. A nice piece of mind. What else is there to say? I really appreciate that Microsoft offers this stand-alone product alongside their subscription offerings. Flexibility and options are a good thing. If you are a long-time user like me, or a new user looking for home, school or work use, I think you will be pleased with Office 2019. It is a fantastic feature-rich product, is best in class, offers a great experience and is a good value.
