I would probably give up the upgraded functions to get that feature back. If there were another program that could use my macros and kept the multi-file-in-the-same-window feature, I would switch in a heartbeat.

I should have been more outspoken at the time of purchase, but supposed the new software would be very like the old from my old computer and trusted that the tech would what would be in my best interest!
