I would never purchase the single use Office Home/Student again. I have Apple products, the set up was confusing. I only use one computer so I thought the 1 device product would be fine. I did not want to sign up for the reoccurring payment/update plan. In hindsight, this is a waste of money and time. I will have to get the reoccurring plan now.

These are the permanent versions of the Office applications we all know and tolerate. It is getting a bit harder lately to get these versions and not to have to pay for a recurring subscription for access to Office 365 (cloud based). As a user of Office 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016 for both work and/or personal use, this was my first exposure to Office 2019. I'll just focus on the things I noticed that were different and that I might use more than a few times, from the prior 2016 version: Noticeable new features in Word is focus mode, which darkens everything except the "page" you are working on, supposedly letting you focus on the task at hand. The text to speech learning tool also works surprisingly well for dictating to a document. I've never used the fancier features on PowerPoint, but the new thing that stuck out to me was the ability to export your presentation as a 4K high resolution video file. OneNote is now called OneNote for Windows 10 (not available for Mac apparently, but I'm not a Mac user, so I don't know the history of OneNote on Macs). Thing I noticed most was Ink to Text, which works well at converting your scribbles to typed text. In a related note, digital stylus/pen support is present in all the programs, if you have the required hardware to fiddle with that sort of thing. I think you can even do things with different pressures and angle of the pen. Not something I do very often. My handwriting is fairly horrible on paper, let alone on a digital screen. Excel is mostly unchanged from my view, although there might be some more formulas I didn't recognize. I did read a review about support for timeline and maps, but I haven't stumbled across them in my forays into Excel charts this month. All in all, if you need the core Office programs on a new computer, will be fine using the same programs with no new features for 4 or so years to justify the cost, AND don't want to pony up for a Office 365 subscription, then this is a good investment.

I had a bad experience buying this online. It did not let me install it because Best Buy never activated the card. I contacted customer service and after numerous e-mails they sent me a second card and also did not let me install for the same reason. I gave up and requested a refund.

Why are duplicate packages loaded on a device that should have been factory installed

This is the perfect amount of office that is needed for students, but wish it was a lot cheaper

First card I bought would not download and had to leave computer with geek squad two days to get it loaded.

Clearly purchased but the product code doesn't work. Microsoft says go to Best Buy. I go to Best Buy and am told to contact Microsoft. I paid over $100 for a product I get no use from and has been a waste of my time.

I am unable to use this product because I corrected the phone number under my Microsoft account and it is locking me out for one month "to protect me". It tells me I need to correct my account, but it won't come up so I can't do anything. I'm frustrated and don't know if I'll ever be able to use it.

doesn't seem to have the ability to perform the type of work that I was expecting: Excel spreadsheets, data base.

They used to provide the full Office Suite FREE. Now they SELL you a paired down version. BOO>

This came up as an add on when I purchased a chromebook online. This is the wrong version and I did not know until I tried to load it. The store fought with me on exchanging it, even though the online customer service said I could without issue.

Not a very friendly place to come to, feel like after talking to two of the employees. I was left alone for to long. Ask another employee to help. The young guy came over in made things even more wrong. I ask him to leave me alone, again. I was just about to to home. When I saw another person to help me, and did.

My wife and I share the same computer, each with our own log in. Word will only work on one of the log ins. We work around it but it is confusing. Also it wants to file things where it wants, without giving me a chance to tell it where I want. I can move it but give me the old office and windows 7.

Worse purchase EVER. After scratching of the key code a letter was unrecognizable, therefore the card was unusable. Several calls to microsoft, did all the necessary requirements, photo copy of receipt uploads and nothing a useless nonrefundable card.

Mictosft failed to update 2011 Word so it would continue to operate on Apple’s 64 bit platform.

Geek Squad misled me and told me I needed this to replace Office 2016 which was on my old computer. In fact, I didn't. I was able to replace my old Office 2016 directly from Microsoft I have requested a refund but am still waiting. I assume the new Office 2019 is as good as Office 2016. I don't know as I have never used it.

For the price this software should include all the programs common with microsoft suite, not just 3 out of 5

this review is my opinion. I never got to download it because I always had problems. Decided i would try again and same thing. I have paid 150 for it and its not even in use. so thats why the crap rating.

My first and last time I will go to Best Buy. I bought this word document for 129.99 turns out I didn’t need it after all and I was not told I can’t return this specific document. Been on the phone with Best Buy for 3 hours being transfer back and forth just for a return for this document. Never go to best best again.

It was a gift. When the grandson tried to download, Microsoft told him it was impossible to download due to the fact the seller needed to activate the card. They said to take it back to the store to have it activated. It was bought online.
