The Standard. Nice Refresh. Same Quality.

Microsoft Office has been the seemingly most ubiquitous piece of computer software for as long as I can remember, and it feels just as relevant today as it did the first time I found it in my start menu. As a long-time user, I have been happy with each iteration as time went on, and this release is no exception. This version sticks to the core Office stalwarts, offering Word, Excel and Powerpoint, which will be what many will be looking for, but make sure this fits your use case. Microsoft does offer a more robust suite via their Office 365 subscription, with a similar quality experience, but again, check your use case. As for the programs themselves, they just really are the standard. While there are other options out there, none of them compare to the polished feel, breadth of features and simply, the overall quality Office brings to the table. This 2019 version gives all those programs a nice refresh and install and use is just as easy (that is very easy) as you would expect. Lastly, it is nice to know that all those old documents I have saved over the years can still be accessed. A nice piece of mind. What else is there to say? I really appreciate that Microsoft offers this stand-alone product alongside their subscription offerings. Flexibility and options are a good thing. If you are a long-time user like me, or a new user looking for home, school or work use, I think you will be pleased with Office 2019. It is a fantastic feature-rich product, is best in class, offers a great experience and is a good value.

I'm so glad that Microsoft still has perpetual licenses available for their software. So many companies are going to a subscription based system and I refuse to buy into that. I've been using office 2007 since well....i'm guessing 2007 and it has been great for 11 years at one price. This new office has a lot more features and I'm still getting used to it so not as productive as of now. But knowing that the software is mine and I wont have to pay anymore for hopefully the next 10 years is awesome. I knocked off one star simply for the fact that you can only install it on one device. It would have been great if I could put it on my desktop and laptop.

    Incremental upgrade

Microsoft 2019 is available on the market. With each release you may be asking do I need to upgrade to this years new release? Well the answer is yes and no. For the Office faithful this new version just feels natural. Now what is included in this release is the essentials which are Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Many of the other apps from the Office suite were removed in an obvious attempt to push consumers to the subscription based Office 365. For those who require Access & One Note it can be downloaded but you will have to download the 2016 version of those applications. This version of Office 2019 is not much of an upgrade from 2016. What kind of upgrades will you find in this version? There is more support for Windows ink to be exact. Now that the Surface Line of products has become popular it only makes sense. There is also minor updates like an improved inbox in Outlook where it will sort important emails from the rest. I can't help but feel that Office 2016 offered much more value to consumers & business users, Office 2019 feels neutered but again Microsoft has done this intentionally due to their business going all in on cloud services. The company has evolved to keep up with the times which is not really a bad thing. If you are looking for an upgraded version of Office with improved stylus then this product may just be for you. If you require more then you could just stay with Office 2016 but then you won't have the latest and greatest that office has to offer. Which leaves you with Office 365 as an alternative. It is nice to Microsoft still giving us consumers options. Office 2019 makes sense for those who don't want to pay monthly or annually to use the Office suite of applications.

All the Needed Essentials in 1

This version of home and student was perfect for my needs in daily life. My laptop came with office programs pre-installed but needed a product key to keep it live after the 30 days. I was pleased to learn that this version doesn't need to be renewed every year but instead is owned outright once you purchase it. The only downfall is that it is only available for one computer and as I have 2 computers that I work on, I would've liked to have the 2 device version but will have to buy a separate license for my other device. Overall, all the essential programs that I need for school and work are in this version of home and office. I use Excel, Word, and One Note extensively so it's definitely relieving to know I will have those programs installed for the lifetime of my device. Powerpoint is also included but I don't use it as often as the other programs. In my opinion it's worth purchasing the single device product key if you work exclusively on one device.

Office Home & Student 2019 for 1 device The set-up and installation was super easy. Going to the office set up site you have the option to create a new account or sign in to an already existing account. Once there you enter the office product key. It walks you through to the site and has an install link. Once you click the link it begins to install the whole suite. Hte install completed within 10 mins it may have been 5 mins. It was super easy and simple. Once it as completed I opened the word app signed in with the same office account and the activation was completed. The suite came with word, powerpoint, onenote, excel, access, publisher, outlook. Everything is running smooth and sweet. Word and powerpoint are probably the most used apps in our household. The features and time tested use for business make it reliable.

So I have been testing out the 2019 version of Office Home & Student and I must say, Microsoft keeps getting better and better with their Office Suite. This came along just in the nick of time as well. Downloading and installing took about 15 minutes or so (nowhere near as long as I originally thought it was gonna take). If you have ever used Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. then each of these power programs are self-explanatory with a few features that fine-tune the always ever popular office suite that suits most people's needs. All of my current files ported over and opened up with no issues. I fully recommend this software/Office suite to anyone looking for something familiar and something they're used to. It's great for home offices, businesses, and/or students for school.

If you use Office at work (and really, who doesn't?) you already know how to use Home & Student 2019, because these are the full versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. They're not watered down versions and will allow you to do just about anything you can with the full Office install. Also included is One Note. If you're a student or are buying this for a student, OneNote is perfect for taking notes in class. Setup is easy. Just log into your Microsoft account and go to the download page and enter the key on your card. The best part is that unlike Office 365, this version doesn't expire and can be used indefinitely, although only on one machine.

I've been using MS Office since '95. I prefer the purchase & own versions to the annual renewals of Office 365. They've always been compatible with the prior versions. I've created Excel workbooks with Office 2000 that still can be used with this latest Office Home & Student 2019 version. You don't always get all the new functionality with the older worksheets but you don't have to recreate them. Excel & Word have the best functionality & are the most user friendly of spreadsheets and word processing software. I wouldn't use anything else.

There’s nothing I can say about this other than as always, it just works. I know that’s a pretty simplistic thing to say while trying to review an item but in this case if you’re a user of Office Products you’re pretty much familiar with what you get. This is just a refreshed version. If you need to be able to use this on more than one device this is NOT the version you want. But for those that aren’t willing to join the world of Office annual subscription service then this is perfect.

Now days, Microsoft office is a necessity and when it comes to choosing which version to buy I highly recommend this one. Aside from the super simple install, this licence gives you a full version of the office suite which includes Word, Power Point, Excel and One Note without paying an annual subscription. Thank you Microsoft for creating an option for us subscription haters.

I just installed the product and it was an easy install, but when I went into the properties of the product, it said it was Microsoft Office 2016, not 2019. Not sure why that is, but that is my only problem.

OK, I have been using the MS Office suite of products for both personal and business use for decades. This is exactly what I expected. Typical Office features that we've used forever. If you are used to the Office product, this will certainly meet your needs. I f you are new to Office, I would suggest you try this t see if it meets your needs.

I have tried the free alternatives to word and excel and none ever seem to match up. I was not interested in a subscription based service where I have to pay a again in a year so this suits my needs. The pen support is a good addition which I plan on using more.

This is a great product for those that require the basic office features and having a one time cost associated with it. While the other office software choices have more features you do have to pay a yearly fee. I like being able to store my product key in my account and keep track of all other devices and files.

    Current version of classic software

Product as described. Good old classic microsoft office suite. Thank you microsoft for not removing discs completely. It is time I replace my prior 10 year old version of microsoft. While it's compatable with windows I'm finding I'm running into issues of not being able to open the current version of office files. Having gone back to school I'm taking advantage of the student version. I tried 360 and do not care for it. Microsoft just got greedy.
