Thought I could get away with monthly microsoft subscriptions and cancelling it when I'm out of school. But honestly, that just adds up and it's not worth it, especially if you forget, and then it's more expensive than the one time purchase. Just buy this, and don't worry about it.

Product’s great, install not so much

I was mistaken. Rather than beating my head against the wall, I opted to make that dreaded phone call to get help. Yes, it took a while to get results...the people helping me ran into the same issues I had. It was rather gratifying to see I wasn’t alone in my frustration. Eventually, all worked out and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

No Fuss Package for One-Time Fee

However, the subscription model does come with updates, a ton of cloud storage, and some other extra perks, so it's worth doing the research on Microsoft's website to see what fits your needs. For me, the one-time is perfect!

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.alas, it seems Microsoft is pushing everybody to the cloud. which is OK for some things. but I'm old enough to have used an Altair and punched card decks. it's my data, I did it, I want it myself right at hand. much easier when you also own a single-use license and have the software on your own computer. no in-transit delays on the web while working, and somebody on a backhoe can't stop you from working.
