this mic is WAY better than the xbox microphone. every word is crystal clear. i have owned one for a long time and not encountered any problems and i have not broken it once. well worth the money!

Coming from the old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true in this case. That being said this product is still a good buy. I just had to buy my first one since the one i got with the system. All in all, simple to use and no batteries required, just plug and play. Prepare to buy again though

This headset is a must for a great Xbox Live experience. It is a great value considering that one headset lasted about 2 years for me, noting that I play at least 4 hours each day (literally). My mic died today, but i'm pleased to know that a $19.99 headset was able to last this long.

These headphones work well enough. If you want to spend a little more, the bluetooth headphones are worth it. Not having to deal with the cord from the control to the headset is really the only downside to this product. Also, should probably be a little cheaper

This is perfect for my 10 year old son to use to play with his friends online. It works great. Has very good sound quality, adjustable volume, and not too expensive in case he breaks it!

Ive had an Xbox360 for about 2 years now and saying now ive probably owned more than 5 headsets. The sound goes off sometimes and sometimes permanetly. Mute sometimes doesnt work and people can still hear you, when plugged into controller sometimes wont detect it and takes some time and frustration. would recommend a higher priced headset for quality and dependability.

These can break real easy. I've gone through about 5 in the last two months! They just failed on me. I bought a tritton headset for Christmas and im in love with it. Nuff salad hold tha dressing.

This standard headset is good, as long as you make sure you don't damage it. However, it's design calls for some reinforcement along the earpiece connecting the ear piece to the head-band.

This is an ok headset. The sound quality is around average, nothing special. Its pretty comfortable, and doesn't hurt your ear. Although, it breaks way to easily. I had mine for a couple of weeks, then the wire just ripped. I looked at it, and the wires are extremely thin. Not worth the hassle of fixing, and wasting more money.

all i have to say is if it can withstand the torment of a two year old and being yanked out of the controler and thrown 20 feet across the room bounce off two walls and still work but the controler doesnt... thats a good headset

This mic(black) has lasted me a year and it still works perfectly. Too bad I'm getting Turtle Beaches though. They are very durable. That probably just means you guys throw it around and expect it to be perfect.

Handy to have when on xbox live. Makes it easier to talk to other gamers on xbox live playing the same game!

I liked this headset but after only a week of use the plastic headband broke at the joint that is adjustable. I fixed it with some electrical tape and superglue but for $20 you should get something a little more durable. It has great sound quality and my friends can hear me good which is a plus.

Unlike the original xbox's headset, this one lacks the behind the head supra-aural and the sturdiness. It can however, switch to either the left or right ear. My only complaint is the static whenever the cord input move because it stags onto something when playing. It happens a lot and can be quite annoying. For this I would recommend the wireless ear piece.

It's a good thing that this headset came with my system, because if I would've bought it separately it would just make it worse. The on/off switch and volume wheel are in the most inconvenient location. About 99.99% of the time the mic won't pic up my voice, and voices from other gamers will keep getting cut out. The comfort is the only positive to it. I'm not even a hardcore online gamer and I'm very disappointed with this product. So whether you're a big-time gamer or just play games every now and then, this product is still not worth your money. Invest in another one; even a third party product would be better.

I was talking through this headset to an Xbox LIVE Party. It worked fine, until there was a weird noise then I couldn't hear anything. I bought this in June 2010, and it stopped working April 2011. I e-mailed Xbox and they kept giving me stupid responses that didn't help at all. The last e-mail said "Since the headsets have a 90-day warranty and given that it was purchased last June 2010, it clear that it is out of warranty already. If you send that headset back to us then we will just sent it back to you unrepaired since it is already out of warranty. The only way to resolve this issue is for you get a new headset--". It also echoes A LOT. It's a piece of useless junk. My opinion, is that Microsoft has horrible customer service and a horrible headset. Do not buy.

Got these so I could have something to quickly connect to Xbox Live when need to chat real quick and don't want to break out my stereo headset. I quickly learned that a quick chat is all they are really good for. The sound quality is very low and my friends can barely hear me. I don't recommend these during multilayer sessions.

Good headset but I broke mine because it snapped in half.
