I buy 3 of these a year. They are pretty flimsy, but serve their purpose.

The headset cord broke in 4 weeks. It cracked and the wires broke. There was no abuse done, it was used in it's usual way, but the plastic was rigid on the cord that goes from the headset to the console and it just cracked and broke. POOR design. Not worth the $20 we paid for it. Shame on your Microsoft!!!

This headset has some useful applications, but the sound quality is awful for both the microphone and headphone speaker. It seems to have been designed for people with tiny heads and it inevitably breaks. I couldn't suggest this to any friend. While it has useful applications, you can easily use other headsets from third parties that sound better and don't break.

This mic is horrible. I have spent over $60 on three of these mics. They break very easily. The mic just eventually dies. The band that holds the mic and the speaker is very thin and breaks easily. I would reccomend buying the turtle beach x1, for $40 more before buying this mic. Since the speaker covers one of your ears, you only have one ear that can hear your game.

It comes with the console so its no real money out of pocket, but if you lose/break it I would really focus my attention to microsoft's wireless headset. I find it very hard to hear on the wired one, and my teamates in live matches say I sound very quiet, even with my mic's volume maxed. The wireless is much louder both on the inbound and outbound side.

i just got this mic less then 24 hours ago and it is already not working. i did nothing to the mic at all and now it wont let me talk to other people or even hear what they are saying. very cheap mic that just breaks WAY TO EASY. dont get it. they dont last long at all.

This product did not work correctly. You could not hear well at all. We had to send this to XBOX who sent us a new one that works the same exact way. It was cheap so I guess you get what you said for but this was the only one that Best Buy had in their XBOX system. I wish they sold like a $50 one. Oh well.

i just got the mic 1 day ago ad today he i went to but it on it snapped in half also the cord ripped.i didnt even give the design 1 star or the comfort because the one side that dosnt have the speaker pulls your hair. this mic STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got this headset with the purchase of my Xbox 360 Elite. THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST HEADSET EVER. lol. Even the original (this is an updated design) 360 headsets were better than this. I honestly think the original Xbox headsets were best but that's cuz I like the wrap around headset style (I am the same with headphones for an MP3 Player because I don't like things in my ears). The sound you hear is mediocre at best and noone could hear me while I was attempting to play games online (I'm a big FPS fan and like team games so communication is pretty important). I could hear others but even at full volume the sound was low. I highly recommend getting a different headset. Needless to say I bought a headset the next day. I highly recommend the TurtleBeach X1s for 360 if you have $60 to spend. Believe me they are so worth it!

No complaints from teen. Had similar product before this one and loves it.

had this a while ago, and i have to say... its a piece of junk. unless u have a surround sound home theatre where u play xbox then ur gonna want something better. this headset is poorly made and breaks easily. spend and extra 40 dollars and get an X1 from turtle beach. trust me, u wont be sorry.

I bought two of these for Christmas. First the sound would be broken up, then others couldn't hear me talking. Now, only a week later, neither the sound or the mic work at all on either set. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone.

Had two which have had the mic die on it within a couple weeks of use. So I can hear people, but can't talk to them. This product is worth maybe $5 and Microsoft jacks up the price anyways. I'm sad that I lost my headset from my launch day 360. That style lasted me years with no issues. Since they've gone to this new style these things don't last. Look into some of the better USB headsets. If the 360 would support any USB headset like the PS3 I wouldn't even have to spend money on another headset, but that would be convenient and that isn't Microsoft's style. My Logitech G35 and Plantronics (don't know the model) USB headset that proceeded my G35 don't work with the 360 though I've been using them with my PS3 for years.

This mic is bad. The original white one was so much better. It doesn't pick up my voice unless I put the mic right in front of my mouth and I still have to talk louder than normal. The problem with that? The earpiece isn't on my ear anymore if I do that.

This product, though not expensive is garbage. These things are good for about 6 months max. I've been through at least 5 or 6 microsoft headsets since purchasing my original Xbox a few years ago.

Have gone through several headsets over the past 2 years. Some the plastic going around the head broke, and some the speaker or mic just stopped working. For the price, it should be more reliable.

Just threw away my third set of these. Got two for Christmas, one broke by March, bought a new one. It's now June and all three have broken. Waste of money. Choosing another product.

Salesperson told me it was compatible with Xbox one, but it's not. Had to return.

Bought these for online gaming, but don't get to use it much because my son is always using it.

I've replaced mine over 10 times already, they are just not made to standard, in essence you get what you pay for, but why should you have to pay a relative small amount for a mic that works less then half the time?
