Don't let it break
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great when it works but if either of them die you have to buy a whole new pair. They work off one dongle and it cannot be rebound. A major design flaw that Logitech does not struggle with.

Microsoft does not have Replacement USB Dongles
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this keyboard and mouse until my USB dongle got damaged and stopped working. After several attempts and various blog reviews, Microsoft does not provide replacements. That means that the keyboard and mouse are useless without the USB dongle and I would need to buy a new one. What a waste. Just wanted to let you be aware just in case you were thinking of buying one.

It’s just kinda... okay.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is average at best. I have one at work and just cannot get used to the numeric keypad being separate from the actual keyboard. It’s also a HUGE keyboard and takes up a ton of space. The mouse is huge too and it’s not quite fun to use. It’s a nice keyboard but a bit inconvenient with the amount of space it takes up since it’s a 3 piece set.

Surface is better than Sculpt!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this one yesterday and returned it today and bought the Surface one. The keys are on the Surface are a bit bigger, so it much easier to use. I kept hitting the wrong letters using the Sculpt. Also, I truly HATE that the numerical keypad was a separate piece. If I wanted a calculator I can pull one out. It is unnecessary to have that as a separate piece. It just makes for more stuff to have to look after. The mouse was ok. It was actually making my wrist hurt as your wrist turns slightly to hold it. Maybe I'm just not used to that, but I did not like it. The Surface keyboard has everything I need all in one and it's bluetooth pairing, so you don't have to worry about that little USB thing to connect your laptop. Though that could come in handy depending on how old of a laptop you are using. It's not a bad keyboard, just not for me. However, I would highly recommend you get the Surface keyboard over this one if you can afford the price. It's just a better and sleeker design.

Great, but didn’t last long.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately I’ve had two mouse die in 4 years. MS replaced it once, but will not a second time. I still feel like I got most of my moneys worth, but having two mouse die in 4 years total kind of sucks.

Falling apart the first week
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this keyboard a few weeks ago. Have used 1 week. Two of the arrow keys fall off continually. Today one of the function keys started sticking and just randomly underlining by itself. Wish I had looked at this closer. Was so happy to find one without the number pad. It's much smaller than the Microsoft keyboard I'm used to and everything is in a different place than the norm (backspace, delete, home, end, etc.) The keys are smaller. The function keys are tiny little buttons.Total waste of time for someone who actually types a lot. Rubber strip on the bottom that holds it in place started coming off day 2. It's very light and would be easy to take along. Again, a total waste for a real typist. Will be taking it back tomorrow.

Has potential but also serious flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used split ergonomic keyboards for years. While they all take time to get used to the specific layout, my experience is that they are well worth it to reduce your wear and tear and ultimately lead to much faster typing. This set excels for the keyboard. Standing alone, I'd give it 4 stars. The lack of a dedicated function/media key is a big detractor for me (and should be for anyone who used excel F2, F4 anyone???) and having to slide a physical switch between the two is a major annoyance. Why that is a switch, yet there is a dedicated calculator key away from the keypad is very odd. Speaking of which--the separated keypad is very useful and well done. Now the really bad is the "ergonomic mouse." It's horrible. Heavy, clunky, huge windows menu key (really helpful, thx), back arrow that can barely be felt/found, and no forward arrow. I gave up on it and switched to a competitor's (that rhymes with Smogitech) trackball as the MS mouse had my wrists at all sorts of odd angles. Worst of all though is that both are paired to a single USB transceiver. You lose that, they can't be re-paired. If a keyboard or mouse breaks, you can't pair it with the replacement and have to then take up 2 ports. Competitors (again, see above) use a unified receiver that can be switched between devices, and add or remove devices. At $100+ price point this is a fatal flaw in my opinion.

Takes Some Getting Used To
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the keyboard function wise but the B is in the wrong spot so that takes a lot of getting used to, the F buttons are smaller and hard to get used to (I used excel all day), and

Was wonderful at first but then stoped working
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought this keyboard I instantly fell in love with it, within the next couple of months the keyboard would randomly switch to a different language and type extra or no characters at all. I might have gotten a bad one though. Hopefully if you buy this product you won't have the same issues as me.

Returned it same day
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it, spent an hour trying to get it set up at home. Called my work IT and tried another hour to set it up, no luck. There are no text instructions in the box, just illustrations. No troubleshooting instructions. Tried downloading drivers, no luck. Ah. how frustrating that this thing wont just plug n play.

Bad space bar, prefer mechanical keys
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used the MS Ergonomic 4000 keyboard for years and love it. I have one for work and one for home. I've almost worn them both out and should get a couple more before they stop making them. This was supposed to replace my work one, but it has a bad space bar. You can hear the key when you hit it, but it has a less than 50% success rate. It's a decent keyboard other than that, but I prefer a mechanical keyboard rather than the chiclet keys on this. The split nature would be great, since it matches what I already use. The space bar and chiclet keys are deal breakers for me. It's still in my drawer at work if someone wants it.
