I don't know how the original charger died within a year but very glad I did have to order one and wait for delivery. Need laptop for my business. Thank you Best Buy for having it on hand.

This charger I can now say is lasting waaayyy longer than the original laptop charger that came with my laptop.

Seems to work fine as a back up and/or replacement power cord for my Surface. I like that the cable has a light on it like the original cable that came with my Surface so you know it is on.

As a freelance writer, I depend on my Microsoft Surface. The power cord I needed was available immediately at only one store in town. Best Buy came through, allowing me to power up and meet a deadline.

When the cord (power supply), on your surface dies this is the ideal replacement. I didn’t want to give up my original Surface and replacing the charge cord was the cheaper way to keep it.

My son got to college after Thanksgiving and realized he left his power supply at home. He ran out and got this one. It works great! He can now leave his power supply in the dorm and have one at home.

This replacement cord does not always work. I find myself having to wriggle the cord around to get it to work - which can be very frustrating but it's better than some of the reviews for other replacement cords.

Charger that does its job efficiently. I would prefer Microsoft to change the angle that it currently works on.

My dear wife lost her power cord for her Surface! Of course my first thought was to look at Best Buy! They had it and were great to make sure I got the right one for her Surface model!

Bought this as a second charger for work. Been using it for well over a year with no problems at all. It’s an authentic Microsoft product so go for it.

Works as it should! Totally adequate replacement for the charger that my cat chewed through.

It's a power supply. You plug it into the wall and then into your device. Amazing, you have power! Not sure what else to say really.

I bought this to replace the original that stopped charging. The transformer died. The transformer on this one is part of the plug so it doesn’t bang on the floor all the time
