    The surface pro 4 does not accommodate an Ethernet cord. The wi-fi works fine except that it is located in a remote area of my home. When 'everyone in the neighborhood' is home and 'on the net' my speed would significantly slow. I purchased the wall charger primarily for this purpose, however, it was also important that the USB was functional (not just a place to charge devices) and could be used when using my Presenter device for advancing slides during presentations.

    For some reason, my surface pro chord stopped functioning. This replacement was easy to find and had to purchase- not covered by warranty beyond 45 days.
