Shipped to me fast and revived my computer in seconds! The original charger my laptop came with died out of nowhere, so I suggest getting the insurance on the laptop or else you'll have to buy this!

I hate proprietary chargers but they're a necessary evil I guess, at least with the MS one they added an additional USB port to charge a secondary device though I've had issues where charging a phone will cause the Surface to charge slower AND the phone to charge slower so not sure how useful it is but for the surface charge alone works as intended.

Tough to decide betrween 3 and 4 stars. I had to buy a new charger because the first one broke less than a year old. Going to try to get Microsoft to warranty the charger. Think about getting Best Buy's extented warranty. It would have been covered.

This replacement battery was just what I needed. I am sad that I had to purchase a new one due to the delicate-ness of the charger but it was worth it. I am glad it was not the SurfacePro itself

I inadvertently pulled the original charger off the surface pro and pulled the wires out to expose them, had to replace. No warranty coverage so it cost me. good product, engineered to protect owner from my kind of abuse but I overcame the engineering. reliable.

Always a good idea to have a back-up PS in case you leave one behind. I keep one in my travel bag, and leave the other at home. The new PS is more powerful than the original one, so you have a bit of charger headroom. This should, in theory, allow it to live longer.

It would be nice to have less expensive alternatives

Purchased new item while existing unit on warranty was returned by Geeks squad to MS for repair or replacement; Warranty unit was replaced and it seem to work, but intermittently. Problem seems to be with charger magnetic attach point to MS Surface Book laptop.
