    It is a very simple device. I needed a charger / battery for the office & for travel so I did not need to constantly unplug the one. With one at each office there is less of a chance of not having charging capability. It has worked well for me.

    Too expensive and a weird connection to not be totally propriatary. Wish they would come up with a good Insignia replacement.

    Great replacement adapter but like the others, tends to get a short in the cord, so frequently need to move the cord around at the base.

    Great replacement charger. My OEM charger was broken and I needed one in a hurry to replace it so I could do business on my laptop. Just as good if not better than factory

    Needed second charger so I can work two different locations without having to pack up charger each time. Nice design although unplugs from surface too easily. Probably by design so surface is not accidentally pulled to floor if someone snags cord.

    needed second charger so don't have to carry it back and forth. this item fills the bill and is exactly like what came with the Surface Pro 3. totally interchangeable with the original. the USB charging port is an added bonus as with the original.
