Charging issues

I thought a surface would be a good purchase I could have for a long time, however because of this charging mechanism, mine only lasted 1.5 years before having issues charging.

charger goes bad

It noticed it stopped working 9/18/2021. the microsoft pro is excellent but these chargers are awful and cost 76 bucks a pop not to mention the interruption in my ability to work.!!! what is the issue?
