Pricey, but convenient

This works as it is supposed to, but I marked it down primarily for two reasons: (1) the price, and (2) the fact that as much as I like the magnetic connection, I would have preferred it if I could charge this item with any power source that uses a micro-USB connection...fewer power cords and adapters to travel with.

Works great with Surface Laptop 3

With the current promotion of $40 off for buying two Microsoft accessories, this charger becomes a little bit more affordable. I reinforced the joint where the cable meets the connector with Sugru to help it with the bending stress from my kids disengage the charger by pulling on the cable. For the charger that comes with my laptop, I use gaffer tape to reinforce that joint instead.

surface laptop charger review

That being said, charger works fine and having the extra USB port is helpful.
