It works great with a mouse pad or not (I usually don't use one since it's just one more thing to carry). I'd definitely recommend this. Since it's bluetooth it doesn't use a usb port too.

ONLY BUY IF YOU HAVE A STRONG FINGERS!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is small and feels good in the hand, as I wanted to have a second mouse to use alternatively from my bulky ergonomic one. I love the fact that you can flatten it to save the battery and arc it to turn it on. My only problem with this one (besides the heavy price), and it's a big one, is that you have to apply a lot of finger pressure when clicking. It creates finger fatigue and slows me down in my work because I cant click fast enough. Also, it makes an annoyingly loud clicking sound every time press either of the flat buttons. I can't use this mouse for longer than 30 min to an hour at a time due to the lack of ease of the buttons. Sucks because I like everything else about it. I'm beyond my window to return too. Double sucks.
