This is my second Arc Mouse, the first one went two years before the click switch gave out. I love the ability to scroll my screen horizontally and vertically without letting go of the mouse. The touch functions are smooth and consistent. The ability to turn it off by flattening it makes battery life very long, and it travels very easily. No cord, no USB dongle - just pair it and it works immediately.

It's a different take on a mouse, that's for sure. It works fine but wish it had at least one customizable button because I really miss having a "back" button when using this. The touchpad-like controls are ok and the side-to-side to feature takes some practice. I can't use it as long as a full-size mouse as it puts my hand in a position that is not very comfortable. I can tell that long term use will cause wrist issues. So, ok for travel but will never permanently replace a full-size mouse. If it would not have been on sale, I would not have purchased it, and still wouldn't.

I really like this mouse. I bought this because using the track pad on the Surface Pro is not ideal. Easy to travel with as it lays flat.

I love having a mouse to use with my surface pro. The only knock on this product is that it doesn’t connect right away to bluetooth. I don’t know what the trick may be, but I generally have to restart my surface pro to get it to connect. Other than this, I love the mouse.

I was earlier using the old version of Mocrosoft arc type mouse but it had a lot of issues with Bluetooth connectivity. Microsoft has done better with this mouse and this perfectly complements my surface pro as well. But the price could have been a little more reasonable. And that is why the 4 stars.

The arch makes jt uncomfortable in the hand compared to even a cheap travel travel mouse. Laying flat to save space is a gimmick it’s longer than most mice when flat so it doesnt fit in skme side and front pockets on my back pack as well as a normal mouse. And ar the end if the day, the function isn’t any better. It seems like the scroll speed changes and needs to be adjusted some times and i kind of like the scroll wheel better too. The only reason i still use it months later is because i payed so much for a mouse. Any time I use another computer a normal mouse feels oddly comfortable now because of my constant discomfort. Im not site how anyone “loves” any mouse, especially this one, it’s not great at all. Even if it happened to be comfortable and saved a tone of space, at the end of the day its an average mouse.

The Microsoft Arc Mouse is an atypical mouse, in that it focuses on portability and design over conformity to traditional features we expect from a mouse. This means a glass trackpad-like surface instead of a scroll well, and a unique design that sees the mouse "arc" into your hand, then fold flat when you're done. In the end, it all comes together to make a very premium product that does exactly what it advertises, justifies its asking price, and slots away into the smallest of spaces when you need it too. You use gestures like two-finger scrolling, so you still get all the same functionality from your mouse, even if it takes some getting used to. The mouse is also smart. When folded flat, it's turned off. When arced, Bluetooth connected automatically and quickly, and you're ready to go. Overall, I highly recommend it. If you're not looking to spend so much, the normal Surface Mouse is still more portable than the average mouse and is more traditional at a significantly lower price.

Who needs a bulgy mouse in your slim device case when you can flatten the Arc so it's unnoticeable?

They fixed a lot of the flaws of the last Gen that I bought in 2019. This one is better made and I don't think I'll be super gluing it together in the future.

Excellent bluetooth mouse and has been super convenient for both travel and carrying in my backpack everyday along with my Surface Pro 4. It is not as comfortable as my other mice, which is to be expected given the design, but you can not beat the small size and portability. It is also bluetooth so I don't have to waste a USB port or carry a hub (the Surface Pro 4 only has one USB port). At home, I prefer my Logitech Anywhere mouse but this is my go to for travel. I also like that the top of the mouse can actually be used like a touch scroll wheel with two fingers (note, there is no physical wheel). The mouse just works and I have not had any issues with it. Battery life has been good so far too.

This mouse is easy to use and the materials are nice. It wouldnt work for gaming in any scenario. Its pretty good for work. Note that you need a bluetooth on your pc or laptop (if its not pre-installed you can get a bluetooth dongle for cheap anywhere). I like the touch sensor for scrolling, and you can program the third button (pushing the wheel on a regular mouse) by clicking with three fingers which ended up being the selling point for me. Its really easy to get used to, but occasionally i wont click far enough to the left and it will register as a right click, thats been my only issue after a few weeks of use.
