Expensive Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to buy a new laptop with an integrated graphics card to use after effecs and some video editing tools. I'm coming from a Mac but the beatiful design and the advertised specs convinced me to go for the surface Book. I got the 8Gb ram model with 256 GB storage and Nvidia Gtx 1050, I thought the experience when surfing the web or working some graphic applications was going to be really smooth but it wasn't. The machine freeze and crash applications too often. I thought my product was defective so I exchange it for another SB2 same specs but same issue was happening. I was not satisfied with my experience but I gave 2 stars for the beautiful design and amazing screen this laptop have. Its sad it does not perform as it is advertised.

tablet, flip screen and laptop!

dissapointment for a high price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This laptop has been a disappointment from the start. I bough the first one a year ago. the device was absolutely nonfunctional and best buy replaced it right away because of how bad it was. this new device has been nothing but trouble as well. by the time i began to realize the problems, i had already moved to college and the nearest best buy is 2 hours away. I'll be in the middle of lecture and the keyboard/trackpad no longer connect to the screen, forcing me to quickly find a notebook or other way to take notes and instantly puts me behind. the pen has also been nothing but a disappointment. from the start, the screenshot function never worked, but other than that, it seemed fine. then Microsoft came out with an update and the eraser function no longer works. (it used to let you use the eraser side of the pen and instead of writing, it would erase, which was really cool.) the speakers also make an ear-piercing popping noise while it is turned off. if you are looking for a great device to make you want to throw it out the window, this one is for you, if not, don't pay a very high price for a laptop that isn't reliable.

Out of the box review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Straight out of the box the Surface Book 2 did not turn on. In fact, it was dead. Then it took over 5 mins in the loading screen before I could set anything up. I will update as I use it more. So far, I'm less than impressed.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never write reviews, but I was so disappointed and I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I did. I traded in my Macbook Air for this computer and I honestly wish I had saved my money and kept my Mac. I've had this Surface Book 2 for just about a year and it's working slower than my Mac, which I had for 3 years. The touch screen is nice and it's cool that it turns into a tablet, but it works so incredibly slow that I cannot open Word and Chrome at the same time because it will crash and turn off. I take very good care of my computer and it has never been dropped so I don't know why it is acting the way it is, but I was told it would be comparable to my Mac and it is definitely not.

Died in less than 6 months

I was outside Bestbuy's return window had had to deal with Microsoft's support team. They've sent 2 used replacements that have had issues and are sending a third. Last Surface product I'll ever purchase.
