Laptop is light and especially portable. Battery life seems good. Just not what I was looking for.

Fresh out the box. Started shutting down and then a week later shut down completely never turned back on Heated up so bad Concept was great tho

Lots of keyboard/mouse issues that seem to have been fixed in the latest software update. Was ready to send it back. Now it appears to be working as well as our previous workbook.

Some features of the computer are really cool but that doesn’t really matter if it is incredibly slow regardless of how much I updated the software. My MacBook is much faster

Cracks down Unstable

I’ve had this computer for 5 years now and it still works amazing. I’m on it 8 hours a day 5-6 days a week. I dropped it pretty hard a couple times and now the keyboard doesn’t light up but that just happened 6 months ago. Great computer. I’m going to upgrade soon but I have definitely got my moneys worth. The only reason I haven’t upgraded yet is I’m afraid the new one won’t be as good!

It was a great laptop until owning it two months and 3 days when it decided to never turn on again! An expensive waste of money!

I like the fact that the screen detached but it made the laptop very top-heavy and it was not comfortable in my lap and I wanted a little bit larger screen.

Have it for 5 years now still works great. Wish I got the higher tier but still a great laptop

I initially got a MacBook pro, but ended up returning it because I fell in love with this laptop. It's powerful enough to do what I need. I can even do some light gaming. I love everything about it. The design, amazing display and build quality. It has great specs and features. What's even better is that this one comes with the 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor to give you that extra boost in performance. And not to mention that you can also use it as a tablet if you want. Great product by Microsoft. I highly recommend.

Love the computer but being new to having a laptop I wish that it came with an owners manual my last computer was a desktop with window 7 big difference an an owners manual online doesn't help stop being cheep for the price of the laptop a manual should come with it

Hello Friends, My entire life I always used and preferred to use the windows os. I owned surface book 2 before 1.5 years ago, but out of nowhere it didn't worked. I never did anything to it nor dropped it. The very other morning while I was trying to open up, the screen was black and indeed the system was not starting. Sadly, It was out of warranty and I never purchased a geek squad protection. I spended $1600 for surface book 2 and it was not worth it. I seriously loved it and also recommend it to everyone but please be aware that if you are investing something around $1200 to above for laptop; it shouldn't have problem for 3-5 years without any interrogations. Please keep in mind before you buy the surface. Still I love it and don't believe why it happened out of sudden to my surface book 2. Note: Don't even try to contact Microsoft teams because they are very bad and don't have appropriate contact to reach. Thank you :(

Jacob really sold this computer to me and I just had to get it

I was in love with my surface book 2 until it stopped turning on at less than a year old. I was still under warranty, so they were willing to send me another. It arrived with the same problem. I wish I would have done more research, apparently this is a very common problem with surface.

It is a good laptop for academics. I had to use a windows laptop and after using it for 2+ years, I think it was a good decision to get this one.

I am beyond unhappy with this product. After only a year and a half the battery in the keyboard base died and I was told I cannot purchase just that part because this product comes in a set. Microsoft would only replace it for $600. I had to take it to 3 different tech stores before they were able to tell me what was wrong, and then offer me no good solution. I am stuck with the tablet part of it with a Bluetooth keyboard that doesn't even fit the screen properly because they don't make any for the Surface Book. The tablet dies in 1 hour and there is nothing I can do other than spend another $1,000 on a new computer. The tech consultant also told me when I brought it in that "people normally avoid these computers like the plague." Extremely unhappy with this and I absolutely do not recommend.

Purchased this in Aug 2018. Screen is cracked and some keys do not work. When it works it is a very good tool for students.

WOw I WAS so exited to get my fancy laptop yet it was not wht I expected! only had it 4 months and the keyboard and screen dont connect when I type the letters dont show in the screen SO DISSAPOINTED =( and when I didn't but the warranty YOU only have 14 days to talk to best buy if it has issues
