I bought this surface book after I couldn't buy a surface Pro 3. I'm very happy with the selection because it is more versatile for my needs. It gives me the familiar laptop ability when used as a laptop when writing PowerPoint presentations lesson plans etc or using as the computer in displaying my PowerPoint presentations. With the removable screen i use it like my iPad. It is very fast and this is the first computer I have used with Windows 10 that actually performs as expected

I need a reliable laptop, not to heavy, that's portable and that I can use on the road - yet, not to small that I can't see the text, or type on the keyboard - this fits my needs very well

Works great. Like how it's made. Battery lasts pretty long but not sure if as long as advertised. Had some screen flicker issues but I think I have solved that.

I researched and read reviews and was so anxious waiting till I could make this purchase and get it home to try it out. All at the same time expecting to be disappointed. At Best Buy you can feel safe to try out a product because of their 15 day trial period for return. My 15 days went by fast and I could not find a reason for return. I love this notebook. Fast, gorgeous screen resolution. Thank you Microsoft for a great product and thank you Best Buy for your great, professional staff that assisted me with my purchase.

I love my Surface Book. It is easy to manage and extremely light weight. So impressed that I bought 2 as well as a Surface Pro 4.

I bought this and ended up returning it. I ran out of storage and ram as I installed a couple of everyday programs. I upgraded to the 512 GB and 16G ram.

Easily to work with, mutiltude of functions to be learn if your an Arts in any sort, awesome as a tablet, extra battery and fast. I love it! Replaced my MacBook Pro 2016 for it!

This is a tough one. When I first got the surface book i5 128gig in Jan 2016 the experience was one of bugs and weird anomalies that really marred the experience, but having had another brand's windows 10 laptop I could see that many of the issues were due to windows 10 growing pains. This and the cutting edge hardware in the newest laptops made for lots of complaints across manufacturers. However, one thing that is notable about the surface book is the hardware and build quality are top notch. I knew the software bugs would eventually be smoothed out, and sure enough things have been working quite nicely now. The screen is brilliant, and the detachable feature is even more convenient than I ever thought; the pen is superb, and the touch support is equally so; like I said windows 10 (pro here) is only getting better, and the great OneDrive integration makes big local drives not really a necessity. I could go one, but the result is a very satisfying experience now. There were no doubt moments of great frustration, but I'm glad I stuck with my surface book, cause it really is now the ultimate laptop. And with the windows anniversary update on the horizon it's only going to get even better.

Bought for my wife for her schooling. Even at being closer to a base model it is very fast. It will do everything we need and some. The pen feature is nice for the school work. It's been very durable. We have three kids that like the break things and it's taken the abuse so far. On the down side, we are not too thrilled with how temperamental it is. We've had to exchange it twice for warranty reason.

My husband and I both love the surfacebook. The touch screen feels like a quality tablet screen and it doesn't scratch easily. We've had it for months without seeing a slow down or reduced battery life (best I've ever had on a laptop). Our only complaint is the track pad is a little over sensitive no matter the settings - we are constantly right clicking by mistake.

Light weight and powerful. It can be used to do anything I could do on my desktop. The Stylus works great and the keyboard is very responsive.

I am very pleased with this computer so far. Light, quick, fast, and $400 off the full price because I found it from the "bought and sent back" table, although it looks brand new and in impeccable condition. My only complaint so far is that the laptop isn't the easiest to open, which is certainly a design flaw. But I would still recommend this product to others.

I reviewed this computer extensively before purchasing it (given the price tag). It is by far the most expensive computer I have ever purchased, but it is also by far the best! Gorgeous, fast, intuitive, useful, and I only purchased the base model! For school and work this computer has definitely been worth the money to me! I even purchased the 2yr protection for it just in case.

It takes a little time playing around with the Surface Book, but the tutorials are very helpful. Love the Surface Pen For taking notes during meetings.

I originally owned a Surface Pro 1. I have owned it since they came out and it has been an absolute workhorse. I have only had one problem and that was the power supply. Looking at the new Surface options I decided on the Surface Pro Book. I opened it up turned it on and fell in love all over again. After about a week I was using it for a presentation and I noticed that it stopped charging. I finished the 3 hour presentation on battery (which still had 50% left). I took it to best buy the next day and they said something happened to the internal circuitry. They just replaced it with a new one. After reinstalling all the software again I was back up and running. About 3 days later I was downloading the latest windows 10 update when it was done and time for a reboot I got the blue screen of death. I took it back to best buy and they couldn't get it to work either. I am now on my 3rd one and so far it has been a keeper. I did the same update to it without incident. All I can say is when it is working it is fantastic. I am hoping that this one is as good as my original one. Only time will tell.

Been through many laptops, cheap 2 in 1's to expensive and even the selfish MacBook Pro, but nothing came close to being my most used laptop then this. I have to find an excuse just to turn this beast on and take her for a spin. Upgraded from the Surface Pro 3 and have no regrets of turning back. Why are you still reading this?? Go get it now!!
