I really like the ability to disconnect the screen but still have a real keyboard. This unit bridges the gap between laptops and tablets.

This computer is very sleek, user friendly, and made for anyone on the go. I would recommend if you do use for basic home/work functions.

So far, I've had a great experience with my Surface Book! The ability to switch between a laptop, tablet, and clipboard is incredibly useful and the Surface Pen compatibility is a plus! It definitely feels like Microsoft's OneNote was designed with the pen in mind. The keyboard itself is incredibly comfortable to type with, especially in comparison to other products on the market with similar tech specs. There are definitely still some kinks that need to be addressed by Microsoft, though. For example, it's really awkward to connect headphones to the device (the headphone jack is located on upper, right-hand corner of the tablet when it's docked, so any headphones that are connected in laptop mode are suspended in the air), the hard stop of the fulcrum hinge is abrupt so the screen can't tilt back very far when docked, and the lack of after-market support is frustrating given the cost of the device (despite buying the most expensive device in their lineup, you can't purchase any screen protectors, protective sleeves, or cases from the Microsoft Store because they haven't made any). Aside from these issues, the device is great!

so happy I up-bought the Surface Book rather than the pro-4. What a machine. It is the BMW of laptops.

The Surface Book is great....I can take notes and edit my power points with a touch of the pen! Love the ease of it! Definitely would recommend.

Wonderful computer fast lite weight very easy to setup and use out of the box.

Overall, I really like it. But, previously I had the Surface Book 1st generation and I am missing the detachable feature. I do a lot of reading for my job and it was easier with the S Book. If you don't need the detachable feature, the Surface laptop is better, it is more lightweight, much more comfortable to open and close and store.

Way better then past surface devices and we'll worth the extra money. The standard I5 and intel card does everything I need it to do. I purchased for school and it great for marking up slides in my classes.The pen, and tablet work flawless.Battery charges pretty quick too.

My MacBook Pro was dying so I decided to make the jump to Microsoft and buy this laptop. I couldn't be happier! There's so much to love about this laptop. It's a two in one laptop and tablet, although it's a bit big as a tablet alone, that is easily detachable. I love having the pen accessory that easily tacks onto the side. It's quick and easy to use. I mostly use it for home work but when I plan to go back to school I will definitely be using it for taking notes and writing papers. Yeah there was a bit of getting used to in regards of switching from Apple to Microsoft, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Overall this laptop is a quality laptop that I always feel like in learning something new on. It is fairly expensive so that should be factored in when considering this product!

The Microsoft Surface Book is an awesome machine that packs a lot of power into a very user-friendly and space-conscious device. The fact that you can flip it, detach it, and type on it are all wonderful features and I would highly recommend this device to anyone. It's not just a computer, it'll change your mind about what a computer should be.

I absolutely LOVE this laptop! It is thin and light-weight, easy to carry in a backpack. Secretly, I love that I'm the only one In my classes without a Mac. The fact that I can detach the screen, turn it around and use as a lifted tablet, or just use it as a simple laptop with the REAL keyboard makes it the everything laptop.

I love my Microsoft Book! It is stylish and light weight. I love that I can use it as a laptop or as a tablet. I've only had it for about a month, so I'm still finding all kinds of cool stuff about it. The pen is absolutely amazing. The details it can produce in Paint is amazing.

It's a fantastic all-around computer. Really great battery life, awesome keyboard and trackpad, great specs, and not to mention the unique features of taking the screen off and using as a tablet. I don't regret this purchase at all. The only thing I'd change is to add USB-C and thunderbolt, but otherwise, this is a solid machine.

I bought this laptop for business purposes and it has yet to fail me. It's not a burden to carry around since it easily can fit into a backback or bag. The tablet mode makes it very useful in my line of work. It has a sleek design and is fun to play with. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new device.
