Amazing for Students
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was taking college courses this summer and this computer was incredible for note taking due to its touch screen and pen components. It made note taking fun and enjoyable. I have never been one to take notes on lined paper so having a format in which I could take notes as I would on a blank sheet of paper was awesome. The only problem I had was the facial recognition was defective on my computer and with in a day I had to get a new one. But thankfully I have had no issue with the second computer. My only complaint is when you are using the touch screen the screen wobbles which makes it a little annoying to use. But overall this is a great computer and I can't wait to keep using it.

Great for students and perfect for illistrators
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I and in the photography business and was looking for a portable devise to perform same-day edits and originally was looking at the MacBooks. How ever I came across this product during researching the MacBooks compedtors. I was drawn to the surface book because it can do everything I needed for photography, and it's a touchscreen! On my spare time I draw and paint. This 2 in 1 has blown me away. In addition. To editing photos, I can use the stylus to illustrate just how I do with my Wacom tablet that I use for my Mac Pro! I recommend this for any student. And defiantly recommend this to any artist out there.

1st Gen hiccups
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As with any new 1st gen device it has hiccups that need to be ironed out, specifically needs video drivers. Fit, Form & Usability are all spot on. Microsoft is leading the way on what hardware should be like. Expect other OEMs to follow suit.

Solid device, but not without hassles
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the Surface is a good product. It is a lightweight, relatively sturdy product, the use as a laptop is pretty good however, we have run into problems with a couple of things: 1) We occasionally run into problems where the Surface does not come out of tablet mode gracefully, and that can make its use in laptop mode awkward. 2) My wife has run into issues where something does not get seated correctly and the laptop base gets charged, but the tablet screen does not. Other than these minor issues, it covers what she likes. She does email, some online/touch screen games, web surfing, mostly standard things, and its form-factor, size and speed work well for that.

Amazing for school!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a computer for law school that I could write on, The tech guy did an AMAZING job pairing me with this device. The only issue is that the mouse goes a little haywire at times and then pen doesn't automatically connect at times. Overall- 5 stars.

perfect laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had considered several brands of Laptops before purchasing this one. Funny, we had never considered the Surface. The salesman had shown us the all the features on the Surface, that the others did not have. We think we have made the right choice.

Great, but expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You are absolutely paying for the branding, but it's also a very portable, very stylish and powerful machine that is as good as the price tag.

awesome tablet and laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this laptop. One thing that is frustrating so I only gave 4 stars is that I have a wireless mouse and sometimes the curse keeps going to the corners and stays there so I have to restart for it to work right. And it sometimes tells me that some processing thing stopped abruptly.

Surface Book - Best Laptop ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded my Lenovo Yoga pro 3 to the Surface Book! Wow, what a difference in performance! My Yoga was only 2 years old, but when I saw the Surface Book at my local Best Buy, I had to have it. I listen to Windows Weekly on the TWIT network podcast, they reviewed it, and that made up my mind. I have had for a month, and love the 2 in 1 and the SSD fast boot is excellent. The pencil is an extra that is a must have. Great job Microsoft!

Great Tablet/Laptop Hybrid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked my Surface Pro, and didn't now if I would like the Surface Book. I dropped and broke my Surface Pro, because I wasn't carrying carefully, and the computer part fell off the keyboard part. This can't happened with the Surface Book. The keyboard is a lot nicer with the Book. I was also worried that the Book would not hold a charge. It doesn't hold a charge quite as long as the Surface Pro, but it still holds it for most of the day and this has not been a problem. Still lightweight and can still be used as a tablet. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Mirosoft Surface
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to Apple to buy a Ipad Pro because they assured me that it would complete the tasks I needed in my practice. However I had nothing but problems with the Ipad and the service. My son told me that I needed to go to Best Buy to get a Surface because his boss had just purchased one and loved it. And he was right! I absolutely love my new computer and I can now write notes in freehand and convert them to type which is amazing as I am a therapist and write notes all day. This is a game changer. And the Geek Squad is always available to help. Thank you
