Overall, this is a great device that tries to give you all of the pros from a tablet and a laptop and for the most part it comes real close, most of the things I don’t like are little things but they do tend to add up. The i5 processor and the 8GB of ram are great for most people. The 128 GB of storage I find to be a little tight for me. I feel that I need the 256. I use it more for productivity (office suite, work apps and light photo editing) I don’t feel the need for the dedicated GPU. If you are looking to make this your one and only laptop, it’s a good choice, but you are best thinking of this as a laptop 1st and a tablet 2nd. If you are looking for a tablet look at the surface Pro 4. If you are looking a laptop that is also a tablet 2nd then the book is a great choice. Pros: • Great design. this is a solid device. • The track pad is great when compared to other windows devices and the real keyboard is great addition. • The tablet is light and pen is responsive and works great. • Magnetic pen holder. • Windows 10 Cons: • weight, since the top is a tablet the its top heavy and when its being used as a laptop you notice the weight. • There are no ports on the table so you have no USB or SD card when just using it as a tablet. • It slides, it has 2 strips on the bottom that are supposed keep it from sliding but they don’t work very well. • No SD storage in the tablet only in the keyboard base. • The gap when closing the device. I find lint and junk in when taking it out of my bag. I am going to see about getting sleeve for it. As I said the cons are all little things.

My daughter needed a new laptop and she had one of the original Surface tablets, so this was a great way for her to have the use of both a laptop and tablet! She really likes the portability of it.

I like the portability of the computer. The fact that I can detach the screen and bring it in the field for pictures and notes, then re-attach for use as a computer is perfect for work and leisure. Very happy with the purchase.

Love the touch screen feature, however I found that after I attached the screen back onto the keyboard, the mouse didn't always work right away. Charger is magnetic which was a bonus. I ended up exchanging this laptop for an HP.

I bought this for my wife to replace her laptop and she loves it. She carries it with her everywhere she goes. It's light, versatile, pretty powerful and comes with a stylus! Good price too.

Purchased this item four years ago and it is still running strong. I love the ease of use and the ability to detach the screen.

I use it to take notes in class and completing all of my assignments. The pen and touch screen are excellent and allows you to do much more than a MAC. The screen resolution is excellent as well.

Great quality, but the mousepad occasionally stops responding.

Love this Surface laptop. More to learn. It is very similar to the Surface Pro, but clearly has more features and functions, Love the feel of the keyboard. Greatest Christmas gift ever!!!!

This laptop/tablet is awesome. Very well thought out details include being able to attach screen backwards for travel, battery life and overall build quality. Very please with my purchase.

Have been looking for something like this. So far I like it.

Great laptop and I loved the features. Way too expensive for what it does. I could get twice the computer for less than this. Screen flickered constantly. Unless money isn't an issue, I'd suggest something else.

I have found the detachable tablet is very useful when making presentations and then when I need to type I attach the tablet back to notebook in seconds. I love this notebook so much I bought more for work.

I got this because im a beginning artist looking to expand and begin new projects. It runs my programs nicely and draws great. Also is aesthetically pleasing to look at in general haha.

This computer is absolutely amazing! I love how great it functions and how amazing the battery life is. I also bought the surface dial with it, which is another amazement all together.

The keyboard felt so good in my fingers and the typing went so smoothly, I just had to get it. Once I got it home I began to learn about all the functions the Surface Book has to offer. WOW! Luckily they offer a lot of instruction which has been very helpful. I had to learn how The Surface worked and also how Windows 10 works both at the same time. I am still leaning on the instructions which have helped me greatly. I love my new Surface Book!

I love this tablet/laptop. I tend to use it in the laptop format the most. Replaced my iPad and will not go back. Fast, light, and great battery life. Buy it, you will not regret it.

Enjoy use my MS Surface Book of the ability to seamlessly detach the keyboard with a touch of a button. It's also really fast and like all the touch screen features it has to offer.

If you're looking for a laptop for work that is reliable, then you are looking at the right one. I say this with the respect that the 128gb SSD we use for a lot of users who are user remote sessions on a terminal server environment. So not a lot of data is store on the computer. While they have been spendy, coming down in price is always a bonus. It may have similar features as some more affordable models, but with the multitude of surface books with this setup that we have purchased, strongly recommend if you're not looking for a huge amount of storage.
