After looking at all of my tablet/laptop options and after speaking with the very helpful sales-person, I changed my mind. The Surface Book allows her to still have the "laptop" with keyboard, et al, but also allows her to easily remove the "screen" portion of the laptop, to provide the ease of a tablet. My wife really likes the Surface Book, so good call.

I RETURNED THE SURFACE BOOK

I DID NOT CARE FOR THE SURFACE BOOK AFTER USING IT DURING THE 15 DAY RETURN PERIOD. THE HINGE DOSE NOT HOLD THE SCREEN IN PLACE WHEN HOLDING THE PRODUCT IN YOUR LAP WHILE USING IT. I SIT ON THE COUCH AND SURF THE INTERNET. THE SCREEN/TABLET CONTINUALLY FALLS BACK. CONSTANT READJUSTING THE POSITION OF THE SCREEN.

An illustrator dream.

It handles all my adobe programs as well as my Microsoft programs the same as an MacBook. Do not download iTunes It will immediately low the computer down. The pen is great with pressure and natural pen stokes but I wish it had a little more customization to it like and Wacom pen. Beside the minor little things it has been a dream.

Great laptop,light weight but touchpad 2 sensitive

The display detaches easily and is nice to work with using the pen. The only problems that I have had with the unit is the keys are a little small and the touchpad is way too sensitive. I have yet to figure out how to decrease the sensitivity. It must be somewhere in the settings that I have not yet found.

great except one ddefaukt
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my surface book, as a designer I run heavy program like photoshop and adobe cc and the book does it effectively. The only issues comes if you change a setting to performance mode in it can cause the computer to be on and endless cycle of shutdown and reloading. then you willl have to charge the top part and not the bottom. I had to take it to the Microsoft store and get a new one

The pressure sensitive pen works great for sketching ideas, the overall device is very light weight, and having a "tablet" running windows 10 is so much nicer than the "other" options. Much lighter and more efficient than carrying a sketchpad and a laptop.
