Bought this for work to use on projects. Has a great amount of space and runs really fast. Once you get used to it being a tablet/laptop you will never want to use anything else.

I use this as a 3D game developer. It can handle Blender for 6-8 hours on battery, which is amazing.

I bought the Surface Book for work as a Network Engineer. It's great for most needs, but I did manage to crash it when migrating servers for a manufacturing plant. This meets home and small business needs, but more processing power is needed for large commercial IT networking.

OK, two months into it, and my Surface Book still freezes from time to time. There have been promises of software updates to correct the problem, but so far the issues has not been resolved. After the latest update from Microsoft I have had a couple of incidents of the wireless network not working, and requiring a computer reboot to clear the problem up. I am not happy with my purchase.

Out of the box, did not work as intended. It is supposed to run a First Time Setup Wizard when you first turn it on, but it just sent me to a login screen where I didn't have a password or any way of gaining control over the system. Apparently the only way to get the Setup Wizard to run is to take it back to the store to have it reset or exchanged for a new one. I may update this review if I manage to get a working one.

Have truly enjoyed this laptop. Does everything I need and is just cool.

The most dynamic & productive machine ever! The price is a little hefty but after using the laptop for a couple months, I see why. My surface book is the best laptop, tablet and even gaming device out there. I plan on keeping this for the next 7-10 years. ps. I am also confident in using this so much for so long because I also bought the GeekSquad Protection.

Microsoft replaced my Surface Book 512, 16 GB twice for a total of three computers in less than one month. Computer crashed repeatedly. Microsoft told me to wipe the drive and reinstall the operating system. Before installing any third party software, there was Windows corruption that could not be repaired. Two out of the three would lose connection between the screen and keyboard. Not only would this make this into a touchscreen only computer, but the charging is through the keyboard and the touch screen would run out of power. I returned this for a full refund. This does not replace a Mac. A similarly configured Mac Book Pro is about $500 less and has the ability to run Windows and Mac OS. Worst computer experience ever.

I am not happy in fact I am now furious. I first recurved this product my father purchased from your store in Houston last Thursday in the box not open today is Sunday and since then I have had pen issues, download issues, now screen issues. I am havering trouble with the screen not coming on I expect this'd to be taken care of. Now that I look at the reviews I am extremely over whelmed I was doing my class work on the laptop only to find that I am to end up behind thanks to this transaction.

It's good but it still is running on Windows 10 so you know there are trade offs how ever I would like to see this bad boy with W7

After initial Wndows updates machine works perfect. Very keen on battery life and overall performance. I use it for Windows specific software my MacBook Pro doesn't like.

Lifelong Microsoft fan, dating back to the original MS-DOS. However, this computer isn't very reliable. I've had numerous problems with a black screen, the cursor disappearing, and lockups. The native resolution is fantastic, until you run across applications (Firefox for one) and websites that don't scale properly. Then you end up with a little postage stamp that you can't read. Occasionally the computer slows down to a crawl for no apparent reason. It's been very frustrating. I really wish I had waited for some of other 2-in-1 products to come to market. I would recommend that you do your research. There other other products which are better deals, both for financial and reliability reasons.

I was deciding between a wacom, iPad Pro and this. On first use the keyboard didn't work. It over heats when using Photoshop and the cursor lags. I was told I got a defective one but I just went back to my macbook.

Returning Surface Book after one issue after another. Blue screen when disconnecting from Keyboard, Constant slowness and most of all Docking does not work with the new Surface docks.
