But, even with the firmware update, it keeps intermittently flickering with on the computer screen and the additional monitor I connected. It's the dock because if I disconnect the dock, this does not happen. After staying on the phone for almost 2 hours with Microsoft, their solution was that it's faulty and I should return it. Which I have done twice now. Number three is going back.

The dock did NOT work. I downloaded the updates and still nothing. Maybe I got a defective device, or maybe I'm doing something wrong. However I will consider myself above average on tech knowledge and know I tried liking this thing. The only reason I bought it was because it was on sale, taking it back to the store tomorrow.
