easy to connect to wired ethernet have - compact foot print

If you're using a Surface Book, it is absolutely necessary to get this dock. Not just because the Book has no Ethernet port and the dock does, but because your monitor cables plug not into the Book, but the dock and the video signal is transmitted thru the charging cable into dock then out thru the Mini DisplayPorts to the monitors. It's a wonderful thing!

Am using this as a workstation dock to connect peripherals and 2 large monitors to a Surface Pro Gen 6 (I5 CPU). It's very compact for a desktop dock, adds significant system flexibility, and works flawlessly. Maybe a bit too large to lug around for travel use on a regular basis, but suitably rugged, if one needs to do so.

It is small and very light weight dock gives additional usb ports.

This product works as advertised. It is more convenient than the old style docking station. It takes up less desk space and attaches to the surface book with a single power cable. It links a second monitor, printer seamlessly. And has enough ports for a dongle to manage the keyboard and mouse.

Dock is useful and easy to use. It is heavy in weight, so only take it if you need it

This dock works perfect. It is easy to setup too. I quickly set it up to my two monitors using "Microsoft - Surface Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 Adapter" and 2x HDMI cables. I made some quick preference setting changes in W10 to adjust for when docked and if I have my laptop open or closed and then I was off working.

If you buy a surface product, you will need this. Without the ability to hook everything up at a desk and have full PC capability, you might as well get an ipad. This enables you to disconnect from your desk in literally 1 second and have a full featured portable PC and in less than 1 second you can go back to a full PC setup with keyboard/mouse/monitor.

Makes Everything Easier, cleaner, and run smoother

Does what a docking station should, gives you one connector to the Surface. You can hook up two monitors via Micro Displayport, and 2 USB in the back and 2 in the front. The only bad about the dock is that the USB's don't provide enough power for phones, tablets, HDD, or others. I had to buy a separate powered USB HUB for that. It's heavy and won't move around on your desk and has a nice form-factor.

If you've got a Surface and want to have a full desktop setup as well then this dock is definitely worth it for the convenience. It includes a charger as well so all you need to do is connect the one cable and you're all set. I plan on adding a second external monitor so that won't be an issue. I've had no issues with it and definitely recommend it.

This docking station provides everything I need for work. It gives me many more options to make the Surface Pro a powerful laptop. I just miss the docking stations we plugged our laptops into. This docking station has several wires you need to keep under control. This is before you start plugging in anything else. But it is the best we have and it does provide the ports necessary.

I got this for free when I purchased my Surfacebook and this is such a awesome product. If I did not know it's capabilities and how much more convenient it would make my life, I might not have purchased it considering the price BUT now that I do know all those things I would definitely go back and purchase one if it had not come free with my computer.

Efficient dock that provides for expanded USB, monitors, etc.

I absolute love my surface book but was kinda down that there wasn’t a lot of external outlets. The surface dock provides a nice, condensed way to use any additional ports. I enjoy that I can plug up multiple items at once. It is a little big and annoying to carry around in my backpack but it’s easy to wrap up.

This is an elegant solution. My requirement was for a second power supply so I could have one at the office and one at home. I am happily surprised by the quality and versatility of the brick. It is still small profile, but adds the functionality I want at the office. A bit pricey at full retail, but I got mine bundled with my Surface for $99.

This is a great step in the correct direction. It works great with the USB and for connecting speakers. It still needs work on setting up multiple monitors. I was able to get two monitors working and the surface all at the same time. You will need to make sure your device is up-to-date. I was not able to put the monitors in the configuration I wanted, but it is close enough to work.

Purchased from Best to avoid the higher price at Microsoft. Was expecting a “knockoff” and was very pleased at the quality of the dock. Able to provide dual screens, keyboard and mouse with ease. Good product, good price, and recommended for those who need a dock for their Suface 3 or 4.
