I use my surface book to drive an external monitor while in my office. This makes the transition very easy. No docking station, no plugging in three cables (one for the monitor, one for my printer, one for my charger), just one simple magnetic plug. Couldn't be easier.

This docking station works great and is truly a plug and play. Color matches the cables on at home office. This charges the the surface book as well so the charger that comes with the surface book can be kept in my backpack so I did not have to buy an additional charger.

The docking station give you loads more options, like hooking it up to a big monitor, adding USB ports to move file from one to another and so much more. It basically lets you hook up anything to make your surface a more versatile computer.

I see a lot of reviews of the new Surface 6 that say they want the USB C port and don't care about the MS Surface Dock port. While I would not mind a USB C port, I don't want the Surface Dock port to go. I find that the MS Surface Dock, using this wonderful magnetic connection makes docking and undocking my Surface Pro 6 easy every single time. The port selection is wonderful and I have my two Display Port monitors connected, an external USB 3 drive and my WiFi Logitech dongle connected all the time. My Surface Pro 6 stays charged and recognizes all of the connected devices every time I dock. Further, the Surface Pro 6 never has a quibble when I undock the system. The Surface dock is silent, with no fans and the external 3.5mm headphone port works great too. All in all a great addition to your Surface Pro.

So far, this has functioned very well with my Surface Book. It charges the laptop and I'm able to use the USB ports for other things. It runs a bigger monitor just fine as well. A little pricey, but worth it I think.

It is very easy to use and takes up minimal desk space. The USB 3.0 ports are very handy and fast, and the 2 display ports option is a plus. I was worried at first that I wouldn't like it, but it is more functional than Microsoft's past Surface docks! Recommended, but pricey.

I made this purchase of Microsoft Dock for my Surface Pro3 and My Surface Pro4 along with Microsoft Bluetooth Designer mouse and keyboard. All works well with each other and of course, this is an easy setup. It was quick and easy to make the purchase at Bestbuy.

The dock is a necessary addition for a portable pc like the surface allowing the user to convert a wonderful light weight field computer into a capable desktop pc with a simple connection. I recommend that you include the purchase of the dock with your new Surface.

I replaced my dell laptop and docking station with a surface and this surface dock. Saves so much space. I have 2 monitors, scanner, keyboard and mouse connected. The only complaint I would have is you have to leave your surface open or it shuts off.

I needed extra USB for a Cam,mic, and elgato and this allowed me to do so. Along with the ability to use a Ethernet cable so I can stream to twitch or YouTube live. This is the best tool to have for your surface and opens up alot more for you to do with it.

This is a much better dock and design than the previous SP3 dock that attached at the sides. Both could serve a purpose depending on setup, but this new model makes it much easier to locate on a desk or cramped space and has the dual mini-DP built-in for multiple monitors.

We have surface pro tablets at the office and they need to be detached for people to sign or view information on them and with only one cable to the tablet instead of unplugging the monitor, keyboard and mouse, LAN & power cable!!! Great product, awesome dock!

Very convenient device that allows me to use my Surface Book as a desktop replacement at both work and home. I use it with 2 Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapters and use a USB adapter for my third monitor. The Ethernet connection is great, and the USB ports are adequate.

I understand the need to save space on my surface book by removing ports, so I have no problem with getting this accessory. I do think it's way too pricey though and the first open box one I ordered was missing the power brick and cord. The replacement works as intended

I’ve been looking for a dock that’ll fit my surface pro 8 and I gotta say, this thing works for what I needed it!!!

This is just a great quality product. Very easy to use and is a must if you plan to use your system with a larger monitor. It has enabled me to switch seamlessly from the desktop system to using the Surface Pro as my main system.

Great add on for my MS Surface Pro 6. I now have a complete desktop work station that can travel with me. I have dual monitors, wireless keyboard/mouse and external HDD that I connect to in 2 seconds. Awesome purchase!

You can take a Surface Pro or Surface Book and make it function like a desktop with multiple monitors, external drives, etc. But what makes it really fly is that you can detach it from the dock by one magnetic cord and be out the door completely portable!

You must get this if you have a surface computer. It not only give you additional USB ports but more importantly allows you to hard wire into your network so you aren’t always using WiFi.. also serves as an additional power adapter. Must have.

After spending so much money on my computer, I was hesitant about purchasing the surface dock, but ultimately bought it. After using it I can say there is no buyer remorse. The functionality it provides makes this a necessity for my needs.
