Bought this dock to complete my work set-up for my Surface but sometimes it cuts out and I cant access my wireless mouse and keyboard. Tried to update the firmware as Microsoft said but doesn't work and I have to completely reboot.

The device is well built and the CPU end is well weighted so it will not slid around you desk. However, you are paying the Microsoft tax of about 30% as they are the only ones making this. Also the cord from the hub to the tablet could be about 6 inches longer.

This is a bit pricey, but overall is worth it. The mini display port was wearing out in my surface and I was concerned it would continue to work. This dock alleviates all concern by connecting only though the charging port.

The Surface is a great device. A tablet when you want it and a laptop when you need it. But what I found was the one flaw was the ease of making it into a desktop. Enter the surface dock. This makes this tablet/laptop into a tablet/laptop/desktop. An awesome buy!

Works great. I have it at my office. I just plug my Surface Pro 4 in and it fires right up. I don't have the Ethernet hooked, up, just using the WiFi on the SP4. Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse are attached to the docking station.

Got this alongside my Surface Book purchase. The only thing missing that I wish it had is a HDMI port, other then that it is very handy when using multiple USB devices or monitors.

This 2nd gen Surface Pro dock works with both the Surface Pro 3 and 4. I've owned the 1st gen Surface dock and some of my users jammed or broke the connection tab. Plus this 2nd gen has the ability to use multiple monitors unlike the 1st gen.

So far, working out great. Able to run 2 external monitors at same time, love just plugging in one cable.

The product is great and allows me to use my surface as a workstation with extended monitor and added usb ports.

If you want to be able to "use" your Surface Book Pro or other Surface devices at your desk, you will want one of these. Definitely worth the money and you'll be happy that you have the extra functionality afforded you via the extra "ports".

The docking station for the Surface Pro 4 works better than expected. Since the Surface Pro 4 does not come with a full package thye docking station makes up for the difference a little pricey but worth the money in the long run.

If your in the know, you've got a surface pro. If you've got a surface pro, then you've gotta have the dock. You can power your SP and connect a monitor allowing you to view your content in bigscreen style.

This dock works great. Easy to attach and usb's gives you more options to add a extra hard drive and storage.

Purchased this dock for a employee that needed external monitor support as well as network and other devices. worked out of the box and is simple to setup and connect. a must for any surface user that wants external devices.

Just works. Great to have all your peripherals plugged in but only requires one cord to connect to computer.

This is a straight up plug and play dock. It is NOT USB, it uses the charging port for data connection. Yes it also pushes 2 external displays, do careful trying to hook up old lower end displays, the surfaces are native 3k screens

Everything works fine now but I needed an expert triage an issue with my monitor connection which ended up being outdated software on the docking station. if was not updated to communicate with the new surface book 2.

This doc is great; way better than the old system. I have bought several of these so that I can use them at all of my locations. Great product and would highly recommend for users that have multiple offices.

These are nice new smaller footprint devices. If you are using this in tandem with the Surface Pro 3, you will need to install a lot of firmware updates to get it to read the new dock. Greatly helps in multiple monitor setups with the dual mini dp connectors.
