Saved the day when I was able to buy this at the Greenfield, WI store. I needed to have a charger at home so I did not have to carry one in my carry case and this works great!

I'd hope all docks sold now have the latest firmware from MS, but make sure once you are up and running. Skip the USB3 docks and go for the dock designed to work with your Surface.

This dock give me the ability to make the Surface a Desktop computer with Large Screens. I can have multiple Docks in different locations and only one Computer!

I use this at a remote workstation for fast connection to internet and a remote monitor. Set up was simple and connection easy to the power connector on the SurfacePro.

I use and wired LAN connection and an external monitor at work. This dock makes it very easy to take my laptop home without disconnecting a bunch of cables. Works perfectly.

Pairs perfectly with my SurfaceBook 2, comes with it's own power supply and quick to "dock". Wish it had more USB ports and fullsize DP, but a USB hub and adapters easily solve my gripes.

Dock allows you to get back some features lost when they made the surface book so slim. Nice to have back those options. The extra USB ports on your desk are also useful for charging other devices.

Since the Surface only has 1 USB port you really need this dock to be able to to connect other peripherals like an external hard drive and a dvd drive.

Not much I can say about this other than it is nice to have at my desk, I don't see much of a purpose otherwise. I am sure others find it useful other than in the office I am sure.

I bought this docking station for my home office as a back-up, but ended up returning it and buying an all-in-one computer instead. The docking station works great if you don't mind all of the power cords.

Worked out great. Got both monitors working. I'm extremely happy.

As a stock trader, I usually use multiple monitors on my desktop. This surface dock allows me to add 2 27" monitors when I'm at home with my SurfaceBook 2.

I use this to connect my Microsoft Surface Pro to 2 27" monitors, a keyboard, and mouse. Now when I am at home my Surface functions as a kick-butt PC with 3 screens! I love it!!

I purchased two of these. One for a surface book with performance base and one for surface book 2. I did update the firmware on one. They both work well as docks.

If you want to link more than one item to your Surface Pro, a docking station is an excellent idea. It combines a charger and docking station so you will never run out of juice when using it and it provides an adequate number of USB ports etc... The magnetic power/data cord attachment of the device to the laptop is great so you need not worry about dragging the laptop off your desk.

Nice addition when you lack ports. Twice as heavy as the laptop though

this is a must have for anyone with a surface. One for work one to take with me all over. easy good quality product that is fitting of what is attaches to.

I would give it 5 stars except that I have occasional technical issues with it that require me to unplug it or restart my Surface Laptop. other than that this is something cool to have!
