This allows me to use an external projector and connect to a monitor making my Surface much more useful in an office environment. Easy setup and so far so good.

This is a must add for a surface laptop. Unfortunately, these ports should be included in the laptop but oh well, if you have the money, buy this and don't think twice.

Now my laptop can be a desktop at home with dual monitor without hours of configuration and take the PC anytime I leave home. What more can one ask for.

Not really sure what to say about this port rep other than it has the ability for dual monitors but I like the pro three style better.

I am using this for my phone now. But I will hook my pro to it and also my camera. This is a great tool. Its a little pricey, but you will get your moneys worth.

This docking station is perfect for my new Surface pro. I have my printer, external display wireless mouse and keyboard connected. Made my life easier with less clutter.

I needed the dock to connect a monitor and multiple usb devices to my SP3. It was easy to connect but in order to get the SP to recognize devices connected thru the dock, I had to restart it. Items connected directly to the SP didn't require a restart. The other disappointment was the size. Small and compact can be beneficial but it would have been nice if the dock was long and wide enough to put the SP on...like the box it came in. That's what I ended up doing, replaced all the extra packaging into the box and it raises the SP to just the right height for extended work periods.

In order to use the surface book pro with two other monitors, the docking station was required. Still having problems keeping both monitors at a good resolution and preventing them from going to sleep

It's a dock, what can I say? It works to add all the typical stuff that stays plugged to it so I have only one thing to disconnect when I take the Surface home every night.

Cant beat it, works the best for offices because you can hook your surface up and become a full station or unplug surface and become totally mobile!! cannot beat it!!

Works very well with all the Surface Pro's. Con: wish the cable was a bit longer.

Adding the Microsoft Surface Dock to the user's desk allowed easy transition from using the Surface Pro as a tablet/laptop to using it as a desktop with external monitor, mouse, keyboard, wired LAN, and speakers. It also gives more USB ports when connected for flash drives, external hard drives, etc. Worth the purchase instead of buying a separate desktop PC.

If you're going to be using your surface pro as your main computer all day, a surface dock is required so you can plug a monitor, keyboard, and mouse into your surface pro

I'm working from home, so I'm spending more time on the Surface. I found that I needed more 'space', so I purchased a monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse. With the dock, I was able to connect everything to the Surface, and now I have a dual monitor set up, as well as the comfort of a full size keyboard and monitor. Easy to set up.

This docking solution was purchased with the thought of expanding my surface. Does a great job at that! Only thing may be the design. It's a bit blocky, but very durable.

Love it. Can hook Surface Pro up to two monitors and when a colleague visits and needs to charge or use their tablet they can connect while I am away.

I love the convenience of plugging in more than 1 item. I do think they could easily added a couple more ports and still kept the smaller size

In my opinion the dock still needs some refining but it certainly serves its purpose and i wouldnt be able to use my surface at my day to day desk without the dock expansion.

I was aware that this dock wouldn't run 2 x 4k@60Hz monitors with a Surface Book 2. I have 1 main ultrawide that this dock works well with. I've had no problems with the other ports; ethernet works well. I was able to get my ultrawide (3840 x 1600 at 60 Hz) + an additional 1080p @ 60Hz working together.

Microsoft Surface Pro is working great. Easy to set up and use. Wish all "parts" were not "a la carte" but that's the way Microsoft planned this purchase.
