The Surface Dock, extends your computing options. It allows you to use two extra monitors and multiple usb 3 connections. The dock also charges your Surface Pro quicker then the original charger.

Plugged it in and it just works. It was a little disappointing that video was mini-DV only, so to connect to any monitor you have to buy an adapter. I'm using mini-DV to HDMI

Works as described. The only thing that it does not do is allow stretching remote login screens across a monitor and the surface. Guessing this is due to the resolution difference.

The connectivity work well, though docking and undocking is always a bit wonky (with all docs). Works best when completely undock and let all the apps return to home screen then close the system. Inverse for redocking. Start it up make sure screen is live then connect to dock. Updating the firmware made it available to work with even some of my older monitors.

I tried another brand for my Surface and kept having monitor issues. Bought this and everything went smoothly. No issues at all. Bought another for my office.

I got a great deal on the dock and it is essential for me to quickly plug in and have monitors and external hard drives easily accessible. The dock works perfectly!

again, made with quality materials, so it's not ugly sitting out on your desk and the cord doesn't kink up. It has performed reliably and is easy to connect your cords.

My keyvoard no longer works on the Surface Book, and the Surface Book would no longer charge. With this, now I can use my computer again.

Works like magic. It is heavy which is nice, because you don't want it moving around anywhere. Just plug it into the surface device, and the monitor and it works.

Most useful accessory available for the surface pro. Makes it possible to use an additional monitor and many other accessories, keyboard, mouse and much more.

This docking station is convenient to have all connections go through a single port, including power. In theory this would work great for me, but I have 2 HDMI monitors, which I planned on connecting via a Display Port to HDMI adapter. Unfortunately, I found out that it is a common problem that I am not able to connect to two HDMI monitors at the same time. I even tried to connect one monitor using DVI and it works sometimes, but most of the time not. If both my monitors had DisplayPort inputs, which I understand works fine, I would be giving this 5 stars.

Easy connectivity to my Surface Book but only drawback is with multiple monitors connected there seems to be sporadic connectivity issues with one of the 2 monitors connected.

This product works just as advertised and we have purchased four of them. A must for anyone owning a surface that is used as a workstation at the home or office.

I had trouble getting external monitors to work properly with the dock and new surface laptop. Finally working after about a week of searching for drivers and system updates.

Works well and very useful for a one stop place to plug everything in... I do hear a little humming or noise sometimes but not sure if it's from the dock or something else.

This new dock is great in that it offers 2 mini DisplayPort connections. However, the display connectors have failed, but Microsoft readily replace the whole dock.

Nice product. Make sure your surface has the latest updates and you will probably have to down load updates for your surface dock on your surface to make it work correctly.
