The dock is pretty bing and so is the power supply so it doesn't make sense to travel with it. It has a nice rubber bottom to prevent slipping.

I have been very pleased with this product. I can connect direct to a network, connect external drives, and multiple USB devices.

The doc is OK for USB and Ethernet connection. Did make it smaller, but I feel they went away from a true desk setup. I could not get the monitor to work with the doc and Surface. Monitor worked fine when plugged in directly to the Surface. Saw many users online with the same issue. Real expensive for $200 and no monitor connection. I may try a different brand to see if that works better.

Very useful docking station for home and work. Works better than my original Targus docking station that is a little unstable.

The dock is great, a must have. I use it to push two 32" monitors and at least a couple usb devices at the same time.

It is the recommended Dock for my Surface Pro 4. I really liked the design of the Dock for the Surface Pro 3 much better, but this one is adequate -- but only adequate. It gives the Pro 4 enough ports to make it comparable to a laptop, but is really lacking in number and variety of ports to make it anything special. Currently I daisy chain my Dock to a Toshiba dock to get the number and variety of ports I need when I park my Pro at my desk to do any type of intensive work.

Microsoft Surface dock seems to work satisfactory except it seems I am going to have to purchase a 4K monitor to get full screen from Microsoft Surface Book.

I've owned a Surface Pro for four years and I never bought the docking station because I was concerned that the form factor would be inconvenient. I ended up picking this up when I upgraded to the SP7, and it's working perfectly. I am starting a new job and for now I'm working from home, so I need a solid internet connection upstairs in the office. Running an ethernet cable upstairs to the Surface Dock works perfectly. The actual dock is weighted down so it doesn't slide around the desk at all, even with a bunch of wires (power cable, ethernet, external USB hard drive, Mini DisplayPort, external speakers) connected to it. If you have a new Surface device (SP7, SL3, SB3, SPX) or a newer monitor with USB-C, you almost certainly want to go with the Surface Dock 2, which is the same thing except with 4 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports. I knew I wanted more USB-A ports and the Mini DisplayPort, so I went with this one.

We have had very good experience with these dock with both the surface Pro4 and Surface books. Better then other brands we tried.

I can charge all my cell phones or connect through the dock...it doesn't take up any space or need messy wires. I love it.

Make sure that you run Windows update... Only reason not a five star is that you need to get firmware update before it works which some people may forget

This is the best way to convert a surface pro to a desktop. Works great, can hook up to 2 monitors and also has a few USB hubs

I have purchased several of these Surface Docks and they allow increased input. Bottom line, good value to have.

Excellent addition to your SP! Perfect for adding additional screens, plus the extra USB hubs is a big plus!

The dock help you to have more connection. It is very useful when you want to transfer data from many devices such SDCard, external hard disk, camera ...

This is great for adding a monitor and connecting to a LAN. I've found that some things don't work well through the USB though.

I not only use this for my tablet, but I also use t for my phone and other equipment. It is all around great product.

I was concerned giving some of the reviews I read. I found it easy to setup and so far it his performed as expected.

Enabled my Surface Book to easily connect with a new LG 4k monitor. Also, provides additional HDMI and CAT 5 connectivity.
