I have been searching religiously for a device that would both meet my needs while also being space efficient; that fact that this device is also easy on the pocket book helped as well! I have had the Surface Pro 3 for almost 3 years now and had been in desperate search of an adapter like this. I had previously tried a number of other products, both 3rd party and Microsoft, and found that none of them checked all my boxes quite like this one. The only complaint I had was trying to figure out where to put this device in relation to my computer, but finally figured out something that worked; set-up was a breeze minus this minor speed bump. If you have a Surface Pro, are tight on space, and don't want to spend a ton of money on one of the other Microsoft solutions then this is the perfect device for you!

Works good but started to wear out early on. It started needing to be replygged in a few times a week.

The dock can be used for surface pro 3, 4, 5, 6 and book. works great.

This is a good addition to my surface book pro. Provides extra usb ports needed for blue ray device.

The Surface dock is small but enables nme to run multiple devices at my desk.

It was a pain to find a mini display to hdmi cable for this thing so I could connect my TV to my computer.

Everything works great on the unit... I would give it 5 stars if it came with a USB C port.

Needed to connect my Surface to a large monitor and have more USB ports. Works great.

I purchased this for my wife's new Surface laptop. It works as designed. She's able to run dual monitors with it and it opens up many more ports than are on the actual laptop. It comes with an additional power supply so it frees up the original power supply for when she takes the laptop on the go. The only thing I wish they did differently is the video ports. Microsoft included two Mini-DVI ports on the dock. There aren't very many monitors that include those ports anymore so we purchased two Mini-DVI to HDMI cables and used those. They work well but they're not as easy to find as a plain HDMI cable. Besides that, we're happy with the dock. I suppose it would be easier if Microsoft didn't use their proprietary Surface Connector and used USB-C instead, but that's a problem with the whole Surface-line, not just this dock.

Works really well my office setup. Running several monitors and external drive.

Using for dual 4k monitors using mini displayport to HDMI cables. Works well.

Definitely recommend. Great for home office and multiple monitors.
