Its easy to connect. When connecting it to the surface pro, you need to make sure its on correctly or it will not charge.

I replaces the supplied power supply with a stronger one. The dock has all the interfaces that you might need (included ethernet).

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I didn't want to keep plugging things into the USB and mini-display port on my surface pro 6. It connects via the power port (or whatever microsoft calls it). This is nice because it all my devices magnetically attach to it instead of constantly having to plug and unplug things when I want to dock it to my monitor and keyboard. This supports 4k @ 60 hertz via display port using one additional monitor with no issues. My only complaint is that sometimes I need to unplug and re-plug my keyboard into the hub so it is recognized. I think it is an issue with the dock. I also recommend updating it to the latest firmware when you get it. I see people with bad reviews of this product and I read somewhere that you need to update the firmware. Just google how to do it. It is pretty simple.
