You need to know what your doing. I had to update the firmware, which included finding an msi file, installing it to my PC, unplugging and replugging in the docking station. Not the easy Apple experience I've come to enjoy. Ultimately, I returned it because the quality of the picture through the docking station was worse than just using the mini displayport connected directly to the Surface Pro.

The ergonomic functionality is great, but with two docks I have had numerous ports simply not work. I had the surface two and the 4 pro is better, but on the whole it is a good laptop and a very poor tablet. That being said I really like being able to sign and mark up documents. I use full version OneNote and find its functionality is great for the surface. Microsoft needs to improve its quality control and create much better apps for the tablet function. Needs more work. This is a qualified recommendation.
