I bluetooth paired it to a non-surface computer and look and feel are great. However, the keyboard turns off after not using it for 20 seconds. When you press a key to wake it up, it takes 2 seconds each time to reconnect to the computer so you are able to type again. This may sound trivial but if you are writing papers or doing anything in Word, it is incredibly frustrating. Not to mention, it causes the computer to jam for a second each time it re-establishes the connection. I've searched online for a firmware fix but being this has the same name as the Surface Pro keyboards, it is very hard to find anything related. I'm hoping Microsoft fixes this issue. Otherwise, I will stick with my Logitech peripherals.

The keyboards form Microsoft Surface are always my favorite keyboards on the market. It's also really cool that this keyboard uses bluetooth so it doesn't have a wire, so i can take it with me when i travel

Silver color designed for surface pro and mouse is an odd shade, no backlit keys, and very pricey even on sale. If you are looking for an average keyboard you're all set but a lot other options out there I'm afraid!

Found this at Best Buy. Works excellent! Once we were able to get it to link, we have been good to go. My only issue as a Mac user is that it lacks a couple of Mac keys. That aside, it is a great bluetooth keyboard.

It works great in brightly lit areas. The low contrast and low color difference between the keys and characters makes it hard to use in lower light.

Stylish with great performance

It has great tactile feedback - something that is becoming increasingly rare among many keyboards. We have this keyboard in a mid-century modern office and it's a very cool juxtaposition.

The issue I have is each time I shut down my laptop the keyboard is still paired but I have to remove it and pair it again to make it work
