Keyboard is backlit. An almost perfect design not only in adding accent to the Surface Go but protecting its screen as well.

I this it should just come as a set instead of individual because the keypad is a must. I love how it fits easily and the color is my favorite.

Easy to attach to the Surface, do not have to download anything to use. Just attach and start typing.

Good typing feel but a little cramped
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you're going to be doing any kind of productivity work on the Surface Go, you'll want a keyboard. The onscreen keyboard is good for short inputs, but if you want to type up class notes, an email, or write a document, the onscreen keyboard gets tiring. Because the keyboard has to fit in the form factor for the Surface Go, it's a little smaller than the keyboards for the Surface Pro. The term T-Rex arms comes to mind. I feel like I have to keep my elbows in to type using a traditional home row style. Also, I wish they had some more music control buttons. There is a pause/play button on the function keys, but nothing to skip to the next song. I might try to find a 3rd party app to remap the PrtScn button to next song. With Windows Ink baked into the Surface Go, I don't really see the need for a PrtScn button. Overall, good keyboard. I'd pay the extra for the Alcantara one, the difference in feel when you're resting your wrists on the keyboard to type is noticeable.

This turns the tablet into an actual functioning laptop. I'm writing this now on it. The best detachable/portable keyboard you can get. The fuzzy material feels great. Solid keystroke. Yes it is small. That is the point. But it still is a full keyboard and it works great. If you're buying a Surface for any work or typing than this is a mandatory accessory

I have not had any issues with it, it runs very smooth and is a fast set up. When you get the keyboard all you do is just hook it onto the surface and it's all ready for you to go, no charging time either! I like this keyboard a lot better then I did when I had a keyboard for my Ipad, that keyboard wasn't very responsive and you had to make sure it was charged unlike this one. I highly recommend getting the keyboard to go with the Surface especially if you want a built in cover for your Surface.

Thanks for the great review! We'd just like to take a moment to chime in and let you know that Surface Go Signature Type Cover does in fact come with back-lit keys as a feature. Try using the "F7" key on the Type Cover to adjust the brightness. It could be that you currently have that feature turned off or dimmed.
