    Cheap quality

Please don't buy Microsoft surface headphones 2. They are very cheap and less durable. The headband(which is the actual spine) got broken just after 4 months of warranty period is over(Serial No : 001649102055). I am very disappointed with the quality of hardware they are produced. I recommend don't buy Microsoft hardware products and waste your valuable money

Broken hinge design, no support from Microsoft.

Thank you Best Buy for allowing reviews. I typically purchase at Best Buy but this time I purchased from Microsoft on line store. Where now I realize I can't leave a review. I also can't get support for this product. My headphones broke - plastic broke at the hinge. These headphones are now worthless. Perhaps I was a little hard on them but my prior pair of Bose QC35 (Which I am back to using again) - did not fail in over 3 years of heavy use. I have tried for weeks to get warranty service from Microsoft. All of my contacts have been terrible. Hung up on 3 times in one day. One agent said he would call me back - my fault for falling for that one.

Very fragile ones - Do not buy this!

I got this headset with high expectations. But they were barely OK, until one day they just broke when removing it from my head; I didn't pull them with excessive strength. I reached Out to Microsoft and they didn't take care of them even when this is a known issue, and the item was still under guarantee. Don't buy them!

    Won't block low frequencies

I have a disability badly affected by low frequency noise. I had bought a headset of I-Live ANR's, ($30) and was blown away on an aircraft flight and literally could not hear the engines at take-off! So I was sold, and wanted to step up to something better than just a single turn on or off level. These Microsofts stood out right away that they block mostly midrange noise much better, among other things. But they don't block anything under maybe 60 HZ, or any sub-sonic. Like they lose phase alignment, or react to slow to it Kind of sad, they were nice with everything I needed but the main one. Horrible with road noise. I hope their return will be accepted.

These are made by Microsoft, so I expected them to work well with Microsoft Teams. I noticed the mic dropping during calls. When I got in touch with Microsoft, they agreed to send me a new one. The new one has the same issue. So they’re just bad headphones! And now I’m stuck with them cause they’re past the return policy by best buy

    Absolutely do not buy

While they adequately perform most tasks, I've had two of them break on me. The first time one of the sides stopped playing any audio which Microsoft replaced under warranty. The second pair broke in half down the middle of the band which is an extremely common problem that you can read about online. All I was doing at the time was removing them from my head. Despite this known issue, Microsoft would not replace my headphones (the now RMAed warranty was done) and wanted $180 to repair them. While you might enjoy them while you have them, I will never be buying another pair due to clear quality and engineering problems.

Speaker blew out immediately after warranty period

I loved these until the left speaker/driver blew out exactly 1 month after the warranty expired. In the 30+ years of owning headphones, these are the ONLY ones to have ever had a problem with the drivers. Unacceptable.
