I submitted my first review too early. This one overheats AND shuts down in sleep mode. No easy fix or patch. I thought it was the program I was using. I traded this for another of the same and THE SAME PROBLEMS. Best Buy told me that people are bringing this back for the same reasons. It took ALL NIGHT TO COOL DOWN, then it came out of sleep mode.

Have not comfortably learned how to use it yet. Right now you are an average, but that could go up, depending on what happens.

Purchased to use as a work computer. Difficulty with synchronization wouldn’t play well with others. Returned after 2 weeks of trying.

This has been advertise as a gaming computer but make sure you select the best configuration .

I bought this laptop a week ago, it worked fine and everything for 3 days. After that that’s when the problems started arising, first of it wouldn’t even pair my Bluetooth surface keyboard and mouse. It saw them as unrecognizable devices, which blows my mind since they are both Microsoft peripherals. The nail on the coffin was after it downloaded some windows updates and it restarted on its own. I got the dreaded blue screen of death, it would restart properly it was in a loop of shutting off and turning back on to boot itself up. I thought I got a lemon but after seeing some older reviews here I see that I got no lemon and sadly this is a malfunctioning model for their surface laptop line.

My issue is not with the computer, but with Best West Madison Wi. I have bought thousands of computer machines and equipment over the years and I can honestly say after 15 plus years, I will never go back. I asked for help putting some files that I had on my old computer and only wanted to move it to a flash drive. I was told it would be a minimum of a hundred dollars. I stood in the store for over an hour trying to do it myself without success. I left the store in tears because anyone I asked refused to help (at least 7). Please do not tell me you are sorry that this happened. Words do not mean a thing. If you have something to offer me otherwise let me know. Thanks

DO NOT BUY THIS!! My screen has cracked twice. Microsoft was great the first time it did it but now they are not being helpful since the screen mysteriously cracked again. I do not take my laptop anywhere with me. It stays on my desk. I opened it one day and it was cracked. There are no local stores to help repair. You have to send it to Microsoft for $450.00. I will not buy another Microsoft Surface laptop after this one unless they do something about the screen. DO NOT BUY Surface Laptops.

...option. Long story short my 1st Gen Surface Laptop with the i5 is much faster the this 3rd Gen. Of course I could vest in the business class...but no thanks! Returned to BB. Have a great day.
