cute but expensive compare to the competitor model

Pulling the laptop out of the box you can feel the great build of this machine. I have had a surface tablet and really like the build quality. This operates similar to the tablet but I really like the feel of the keyboard. It turns on quickly and for an 8gb computer it does office documents very well. Using it for conference calls it appears to have a nice camera and the microphone works very well. I haven't loaded any large programs on it and to test it but I have used word and excel with some larger documents and they worked very well. Streaming does well and I didn't experience any issues with multiple window tabs open while streaming. I had at one time twitch and netflix playing along side each other and it worked very well. If you have a surface user and were thinking of going to the laptop you will not be disappointed. The battery life has been very decent and it made it thru a work day without a charge but I was only doing work related items and the screen wasn't always on but way better than my surface pro 4.

Overall this is a good computer and a good value for the money.

As far as looks go, the surface laptop 4 is one of the nicest looking computers out there and has a nice sleek, sturdy finish, even with all the different color options there is a variety to choose from. Its microsofts answer to the macbook air and if you are windows person i would think this is the right computer for you. I tested out the sandstone i5, 8gb, 512gb model and it is one of the best computers ive had. Light weight and easy to carry around. Touchscreen works really great on it and you get a lot of clarity and full hd with the screen. Keyboard looks nice and is backlit, but no number pad is a turnoff if you are used to that numbers on the right hand side. Super fast with 512GB SSD and lots of room to store all your info. I will never use a standard hard drive again after using SSD. Battery life is fantastic and will get you throughout the day, the lack of ports on the computer is concerning as they want to push you to buy the docking station. Price point is kind of high for similar specs with competitors but you will usually get good quality with Microsoft products. Microsoft brings the heat with the newest Surface 4 Laptop! I would definitely recommend this computer for all people in school, work or casual every day use.

Great laptop for windows lovers and worth the money!

Had this lap top for 10 days and it crashed! Hoping it’s a fluke I ordered another one. Time will tell.

I love this laptop! Super light, feels amazing. Quick to start and quick to complete tasks. The keyboard feels good - you'll like it! I love the icy blue color. All around the keyboard the feel of it it great, it's soft, a unique touch! Facial recognition works every time. I'm impressed with this little laptop! Was easy to set up and get what I needed, without a lot of junk pre-loaded - just the way it should be! Touch screen is responsive and easy to use. I love the charger, it's a magnet that goes on the side, super slick. Ports on the other side. Overall this is a great laptop at a good price point. Highly recommend.

Screen issues after less than a year. Sending back to Microsoft.

I am an active duty military member and I bought this laptop in order to support my job, teleworking, and college classes. It worked great. I could do everything I needed to and more! But! After only 42 days!!! It stopped working and would not take a charge. I called Microsoft Tech Support and did all 3 steps of their trouble shooting and told me I needed to send it in and they would send me a refurbished laptop. After having a 1200 laptop for less that 1.5 months, I was going to get a refurbished laptop?! That can’t be right. So, I went to best buy. They looked at it and said they would have to send it off to be looked at. Geek Squad can’t even work on these! They would have to send it to Microsoft and then I’d STILL get a refurbished laptop. After more than 6 hours on the phone with Microsoft and Best Buy I have gotten no support in getting my money back OR a new laptop. Instead I am forced to get a refurbished one. In addition, I am forced to buy a new laptop in the meantime to accomplish my school and telework.

I was expecting a faster laptop that my prior Lenovo, as they promised me this Surface is going to be, but , so far I start missing my old laptop.

battery is not good , it finished quickly, when I select i see battery spend more 12 hours, this not correct

I am only giving one star mostly because of the extremely poor battery life. I use my computer all throughout the work day (it doesn't make it 6 hours before it has to be charged). I also use it when I get home in the evenings; however, I have to charge it at night as well. Now, when I am not using it, I always close all tabs and shut my device completely down. This is unacceptable to me. At the store, I was told I could send it off for service. This is also unacceptable as I have to use my computer EVERYDAY and cannot afford to be without it for even a Sunday. Also, let it be know that I was unable to get to a BEST BUY prior to my return date as the closest one is over 100 miles from my home. Please let me know my options other than trying to sale my computer and purchase a MacBook.

I’ve had this for 3 years and I still love it. It’s fast and big enough for my needs. The keyboard is soft and feels good to type on.

Not exactly what i purchase or wanted. Poor description of product...

First, let me start with the design of this laptop. Sleek, slim and lightweight. Very durable. Doesn't fell flimsy or cheap. Screen and resolution are clear and crisp. Easy viewing and reading. Second, usage and performance are pretty good. Having multiple windows open all at once with each one doing different things like watching a video, reading tweets and posts on both Twitter and Facebook and even having apps running doesn't seem to slow dow the performance at all. Although this laptop can do gaming I wouldn't recommend it unless you have more storage but it will play games that don't require that much storage with no problems. The CPU and GPU hold up pretty well. The battery is exceptional for lasting a while on a single charge. Still, it will still drain more power than normal if your streaming like any other laptop. That being said the battery still holds up pretty good. Perfect for college or work if you're a teleworker. In closing, It's a good laptop for a good price if your not looking for all the latest bells and whistles. I had a great time using this laptop so far and have yet to find any flaws. Would definitely recommend to anybody that needs a new laptop for college, work or even casual usage.
