Awesome laptop. I repeat, awesome laptop. I'm not going to get into the laptops internal specifics, rather I'm going to focus on its functionality. The Microsoft Surface is a beautiful laptop. I have the sandstone color (more like a gold color) and it's gorgeous. It is compact, stylish, and ultra thin. It weighs next to nothing! The keyboard is highly responsive and the keys are not spongy. It had a nice sized trackpad which is highly responsive and allows for precise tracking. The computer has a silky feel to it and to be quite honest is very pleasing to the touch. The laptop has a solid feel and in fact feels sturdy given its slim stature. Very impressive to say the least. During the few days that I have had this product, it has performed well. Running several programs at one time failed to bog it down. It runs quick, is highly responsive and runs pretty cool on your lap. Battery life is great, as I ran the computer during some of my browsing and it retained plenty of life after I finished. Battery life is definitely a winner. With a 1/2 terabyte (512 GIG) storage, you should have plenty of storage on your new solid state computer. Solid state is the only way to go as there are no moving parts to break and your data is more secure and prone to less failure. The launching of programs was quick with no hiccups. The screen colors are vivid and the Dolby Atmos sound is awesome. When I played some of my favorite music, I heard sounds that I never heard before. The Microsoft Surface computer is a winner. It performed perfectly when put through the paces and multi-tasking jobs. I experienced smooth sailing and I'm a very happy camper. This is a superb laptop and will fit nicely into any household. Nice job Microsoft!

Nice laptop. Until it wasn't. Severe battery issues that seem to now be well documented. Should have done better research. Battery unable to take a charge after 13 months. Charging block and cord are fine. Out of warranty. Lost cause after significant work to recover with numerous experts. Essentially have to break the computer to get at battery. Look elsewhere.

Had for 18 days and large crack across screen!! I’ve been so very careful with it and bought a nice thick case for it and have never once dropped it or anything and I opened it to use today and there’s a giant crack! Poorly designed I’m assuming!!!!

I initially bought a max, but caved in and bought this surface because of functionality and ease of use. I love it and no complaints. And I work faster with it.

I picked this up to replace a dell laptop I have. Same 13” screen size. I have had to work from home the past year due to the pandemic and needed a fast computer to help with work. The dell ended up getting slow and dropping zoom calls left and right. Was time for an upgrade. This Windows laptop is super fast. Straight out the box I was able to setup and connect to my microsoft work account quickly. Had to go through a few system updates and restarts but the laptop over all is excellent. Fast speeds, works great with zoom calls, and I like the added facial recognition screen unlock. No more having to remember my password to log on. I do like that this is touchscreen, but the screen doesn’t fold all the way back to be used as a true tablet, so that piece is a bit odd. Overall recommended.

We're sorry that there's an issue with your Surface. First, we recommend updating its software and firmware to the most recent version. If that doesn't help, please run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit to diagnose and fix any problems. Small lightweight and portability are the top points of the new surface laptop 4. In the box you'll get the new laptop, charger and setup guide. Laptop came with a decent charge, no stylus is a bummer with a nice touch screen. Also this model is not a 2 in 1 tablet/laptop the screen is touch enabled but you cant fold the screen back. The charger is an interesting magnetic charger that is really quite slick and will save you from wrecking pins from constantly plugging plugs in and out. If something happens to the cord I don't think you would be able to replace it after market so keep that in mind when deciding to purchase this You get one usb-a port and one usb-c port in addition to the charger. The power brick itself includes a usb-a port as well that would prob best be used to charge your phone while working. Setup was a breeze laptop came ready to finish setting up windows and only took about 10 minutes. You are getting a fast 512gb NVME drive which should cover you for anything work related you are trying to accomplish. This is not a gaming laptop but you could run some games on low/medium settings in a pinch. Battery life is pretty great have yet to need a charge with light use. You are getting a 13" screen with a 60hz refresh rate, gets plenty bright and looks crisp. Sound is solid and can entertain dolby atmos content. The i5 processor feels snappy enough for getting around windows, web browsing etc heat seems to be dissipated well enough it wont burn a hole in your leg. Its a great on the go laptop for working, web browsing, catching up on email but for the price I don't feel like you are getting many bells and whistles. I would have liked to see a stylus included for the touch screen or a higher refresh rate screen 60hz feels old and slow at this point in technology. If you have the cash to spend and want a solid turn key setup this is it.

As a user of the 1st gen Surface tablets I had an idea how the new Surface laptop might be. I was very wrong! First I was very impressed with the size. Initially I thought that the 13.5" screen would be too small moving from a laptop that was 15". The screen resolution is great and I really haven't noticed the screen size difference. It is incredibly thin! It is almost half the size of my old laptop. As for performance, it is head and shoulders above my current laptop. Bootup literally takes a few seconds and program execution has been flawless. I have been able to load up or transfer all my programs without any issues. There are a few general things to be aware of because they could be a deal breaker for some. First, you have limited USB ports; one traditional and one "C". If you want to have dual monitors you will need to look into getting the Surface dock. Puzzling thing is there is a headphone jack. I would think most would just connect with Bluetooth. Unlike my Surface tablet, there is no micro SD slot which came in really handy for transferring really large files. Other than than the new Surface has been an absolute gem.

Nice laptop. Very fast processor. The screen is great but it drains battery. I get about 5.5 hours max with screen at 75% brightness. The battery is so disappointing that I forgot to mention the rather big bezels that are also disappointing. The Surface Laptop Go has a more modern look with small bezels but the battery was even worse.
