I have owned every version of Surface laptop since they were introduced years ago as well as the tablets. I like the machines very much. This one is no exception. However, I am not sure if this unit was the bottom of the pile as it arrived with Windows 10 not 11 on it. The reason for the lower star rating is because I had to spend three hours updating this unit out of the box. I am in IT so I know that there will always be an update on a new unit but this was ridiculous and time consuming. Literally years of updates at one time. I thought about returning it for exchange but figured I would have spent the same amount of time driving back and forth and then waiting in line to do so. Best Buy keep a handle on your stock or at least list the downgrade unit as such and offer a lower price for it.

It’s pretty much a MacBook Pro, except it doesn’t have all the unnecessary security features. Battery life doesn’t come close to a worry unless I start using it before 6am and continue to use it until 6pm. Plus a big benefit is it runs everything I want it to without a worry, and it works perfect with the office sweet.

Sadly I had to return my Surface Laptop 4 due to immediate issues with the whole keyboard bouncing and feeling detached in the center. I was looking forward to upgrading one of the two Surface Laptop 1’s we own (Plus a Surface Pro 6 for work), but will maybe wait until their are more significant design changes. This is not a good look for the Surface brand who is trying to be like the premium Apple Mac brand for Windows machines. Microsoft needs to work on their quality control standards.

Love it. This is my 4th Surface and i have had three models of the Surfsce pro, decided to go with the laptop and am very pleased with this laptop. Its certainly a little heavier as expected with the attached key board as opposed to the detachable key board cover on the surfsce pro. All and all i am pleased with this purchase and would do it all over again.

The laptop is really nice to use. Battery life is also good.

So far, the laptop is performing well but I have a lot to learn; so my experience is hard to evaluate.
