Its a pretty good computer. Gets the job done and thats the basics.

This computer is absolutely great, it works perfectly except that it does not work with an external monitor. I have tried everything from returning my monitor and buying a new one to updating my drives. I would like to return this laptop for the same exact model, just one that will work with a monitor. Thanks!

It works ok, but there are a lot of glitches, and I keep getting error messages when I first log in. I haven't had time to check it out and it was hard to set up. At least it was on sale!

I returned this laptop after the screen went black. I only had it for two days.

It’s okay. Honestly all I have to say is it’s average and nothing special. The trackpad was mediocre and the keyboard bent inwards with a simple push of a key. For the price they charge Microsoft needs to step it up. I returned it and will get a laptop of better value.

This is the worst purchase I've ever made. I regret choosing this brand, I have had a lot of problems with it. I already sent it twice to the Microsoft support center and they sent a replacement laptop. I'm about to receive the third laptop because the previous two didn't work. The Microsoft support people are very nice and they help as much as they can but it is still a bad experience to have with the brand. Think twice before choosing a Microsoft product, at least for a laptop, there are better options.

Not happy with Surface Pro. I replaced my 3 yr old Surface Pro which had gone “black” & was told “not fixable” by Geek Squad. So I bought the new version of Surface Pro. 5 mths later this Surface Pro came up with error message. Geek Squad sent in for repair - it was “NOT fixable”. So - I replaced Surface Pro with a new LENOVO!!

This laptop died after only 5 months of once/week use.

Purchased 2 of these. Both chargers became extremely hot. Geek Squad said that's not normal. One of the two ceased functioning by day 4. Flashed the windows logo, made a strange sound and went dark again. After discussion with Geek Squad decided to exchange both for Lenovos.

I hate this laptop! My last surface was fantastic. This one has unexplained slow internet and slow functioning. I’ve tried many fixes and they all work temporarily and within a day the old slowness is back.

BE WARNED. If you crack the screen, the cost of replacement is MORE than the cost of the actual laptop. Geek Squad will not even touch it without warranty. Don’t get me wrong, I love my laptop and have had an excellent experience with it especially in comparison to my previous (apple) laptops. Just make sure to buy the warranty because the screen is not as durable as it could be and cracking it is a fatal mistake.

I'd have given the computer a 5 star review if it weren't for the ridiculous design of the power cord. I'm on my 4th power cord. The magnetic connection is very touchy and eventually the cord stops coming into contact with the charge port. It's maddening.
