Perfect product lacks quality control

I purchased this less than a month ago as a gift for my wife's birthday. It has great specs for her workload so initially it was a perfect fit. But about a week ago (3 weeks after purchase) the screen started started randomly flashing with dark spots appearing at the bottom of the screen at random intervals. In my professional life, I have a relationship with Microsoft and I expect MS to have better quality control so this is disappointing.

Solid Laptop Choice

Quality device, solid, awesome keyboard. Love Windows Hello. Specs could be better, as $900 for 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD is a little light. Battery also drains a bit quicker than posted. But needed it to run a Windows tax program and it meets my needs. Recommended.

I’ve owned the Surface Laptop 2-4 and will continue to only buy these moving forward. Light weight, powerful, and perfect for business. I rarely run into issues and when I do they’re usually software based. I highly recommend this laptop.
